Balling w Beeber- A Mini Course

For our senior capstone, Nazeerah McGeorge and I took part in forming a middle school girls’ basketball team. They practiced Monday-Thursday, and on Wednesdays, we ran practices with them. In the beginning, the team showed that major growth was needed, but by the end of their season, they went undefeated. Every Wednesday we practiced with the girls. Our guiding question for our Capstone was “How can we better the SLA Community and create a lasting impact?”. As far as “completing” the project because we were just more than coaches and seniors to the girls we are still not done with assisting the girls. The girls come to us no matter the situation, if they just want to talk, or even if they just need to wind down we’re always there for them.
