1. Who is the person that passed away?

1. For halloween I was dressed up as a blood also known as a gang member so I had dedicated the mask that I made to all of my fallen fellow bloods. But I also did some one that was close to my family named Ms. Lavenia Reed I loved this woman so much like she was important to me because she would always want me to come over her house and play with her grandson and when was my grandmother's best friend

2. What did this person mean to you?

1. As mark they mean absolutely nothing to me, but as a blood they are my extended family. They are my brothers and sisters that have fallen for what they believe in and because we have crips. At the end of the day they are all in a better place now. This person ment the world to me because when she died a piece of me died along with her and I just miss her so much

3. Why did you decide to create your sugar skull in remembrance of this person?

1. To restate what I said in number one is for halloween I was dressed up as a blood so I had dedicated the mask that I made to all of my fallen fellow bloods. I also think that most of them lost their lives over worthless, useless, and pity fighting with the crips.

4. How does your sugar skull reflect this person?

1. My skull reflex my people because I had to treat like I did my mask it is red because of the fact that crips wore all red all the time and because most of the bloods got killed.

5. How has “Día de los Muertos” opened your mind up to celebrating the passing of loved ones?

1. I think of this like this, when someone breaks your heart instead of getting ice cream sitting on the couch and watching movies crying the pain away no you get out there and you find another girl,.. Well with this like if someone dies you mourn we go out there and we try to make new experiences for us and them like try to do something they would have lived to done if they were still alive like no matter who goes celebrate like to the fullest so that they know you're there for them. like fd cry because they are gone but be happy and party because they are in a better place.

Footnote: My Mask was kind based on a true story because I have a cousin that lived in new york when they were a teen agerand they got caught up with the wrong crowd so a little after that he became a blood and every one knows once you are a blood you basically sell them your life
