Graphic Design Project

MD Q2 Benchmark
MD Q2 Benchmark

For my Q2 benchmark I chose to do A Graphic design project. For this project you had to create a road sign that represents a situation that is real or fictional. The road sign should have words on it the message your are trying to convey has to be told through the image. The message I have for my road sign is ‘’Thinking outside the box’’.  When doing this project I found it very hard to do because Instead of using icons to create our sign we had to basically make it from scratch using different shapes to make what we want. For example a person, you would have to use lines, circles and rectangles. I also found it difficult to move the shapes and making them the same size to look neat. The failures I had on the project was trying to making a person. My success me able  to create a image without words and people understand the message behind the image.

I learned how to use different shapes to make different object like a box and light bulb. I learned that even though I feel like something is hard , I shouldn’t give up because when you keeping practicing what if hard for you to complete you will get better at it. If I were to do this project differently I would have spent more time practicing how use the tools  on the photo editor i used . If I were to give someone tips working on this project it would be for them to spend as much time as they need learning how to use different tools to make your sign. The reason why I say this is because If you are not really familiar with them you will mess up a lot and have keep starting your project over again like i did.  This project has inspired me create more cool signs, that I could hang up on my wall or I could put on my website of all the artwork I have created.  The tool I used to convey my message for my project was a little difficult to use because of how hard is was to maneuver the shapes the way I wanted to make what I needed. Overall, I think that made an image that conveys a message without the usage of words or phrases.
