  • An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example. An Explanation of how the internet has changed communication? The internet changed communication in a way that you can do everything faster. For an example i can text someone a message faster than walking or driving to tell that person something. The internet help me communicate with people faster.


  • Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet. Immediacy is when something is sent out immediately, like a post or something. Once u post it , it’s sent out immediately and automatically. Permanence is when something is there forever. For an example if a posted a meme or something and of bunch of people liked it , it might be on the internet forever. Lack of control is when someone doesn’t have control over something. For an example if someone post a unwanted picture of me , i have lack of control to delete it because it’s not on my profile or page.

  • An explanation of how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example. Immediate post can kinda be a bad thing because if i post something by a accident it’s immediately sent out to everyone really fast, and if everyone see an embarrassing post then it can mess up my reputation. Permanence is very dangerous, if i post something and a bunch of people repost it might never ever be off the internet. If it was a bad post then everyone can see something i don’t want up and that can mess up someone’s reputation. Lack of control can affect the way people look at me. If someone post something of me and it ended up being up there permanent i wouldn’t have control over it because i didn’t post and also it’s up there forever.

  • What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each) i can follow the terms and policies and safety options to keep someone from hacking me or something like that.

  • Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example. I don’t think the internet has rules, because you can search anything you want and it’ll come up. I think social media sites have rules though.

  • Define cyberbullying in your own words. Cyberbullying is bullying online on social media or something.Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying.  If you’re  being mean or hurting someone’s or threatening someone you’re cyberbullying. It’s considered bullying because the mean thing the person does the other person might have lack of control of what’s going on. So rumors, gossip, and teasing is bullying.

  • Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying. If someone is bullying you you should try to ignore but if it gets out of hand you should go get help from an adult or go to an antibullying program where you can talk about what’s going on so they can help prevent you from getting bullied again.

  • Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet 1. Have your Safety search on 2. Don’t use it to bully someone. 3. Be careful of what you post. 4. Don’t post anything on social media that you will regret posting 5. Only share with people that you feel comfortable sharing with.
