A volcanic eruption in the geosphere can pollute the atmosphere. 2. Understanding how the environment and earth systems work can help us prepare for disaster. Knowing how these systems interact is important for ensuring peoples safety. As mentioned in the previous question, knowing how one disaster can trigger another can prepare us for what comes next. 3. Understanding how the environment works and how to take care of it is the key to a sustainable future.
