My love for flowers
Jalynn Crawford "My Love for flowers" My project contains a charcoal drawing of three flowers and a leaf. I decided to draw this because of my love of flowers. When completing this project, I decided to incorporate different lines and various shading techniques in order to complete my artwork. I am most proud of my technique and how much I believe it has grown these past two pieces. I wanted to communicate my love of flowers through this artwork and I believe it was truly represented. The first step I took to complete this drawing was drawing my flowers. This took several attempts due to my liking of how realistic I wanted the flowers to look. The second step I took to pursue this drawing was outlining and figuring out different shading techniques to use. I decided to create a mix of lines to shade in the drawing and I started to shade from light to dark in order to create texture. Finally, I finished by filling in all negative space with different texture lines. The mediums that I used to create this piece artwork, was a piece of paper, charcoal pencil, and a charcoal stick. I decided to use both charcoal stick and pencil to create more depth. I believe there are several pieces of artwork out there that are similar to mines, but I think mines varies
