Corporate Exploitation Zine Posted by Qaydu Emdur in English 3 · Burrows-Stone · X on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:59 am Comments (4) Owen Williams Dear Qaydu: I am moved by your Artist's statement, “Zine by Qaydo Emdur,” because I never knew how much of an impact this topic had in your life. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “If the dominant institution of our time has been created in the image of a psychopath, who bears the moral responsibility for its actions?” I think this is fascinating because honestly who is responsible for their actions? who does this fall on? I do agree with you that larger companies tend take this too far. One reason I say this is even if this wasn't an issue of exploitation, companies just do way too much. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next. Jalen Spearman-Satchell The poem was great. I like how you said, "if a corporation is compared to a person what kind of person would they be?" I like that your artwork is filled with the really of the Corporations. Jalen Spearman-Satchell The poem was great. Emanuel Davila-Rivera One sentence that stood out for me was "It has impacted my life as my father worked for an exploitive pharmaceutical company. Which put him in poor working conditions and abused other workers." i think this is pretty crazy because i had never known this fact about you and i think its good to learn new things about people and for people to share things that might be uncomfortable for them to share Log in to post a comment.
