Art Elective Project Reflection

  1. Describe your project: My project was a  geometric painting  with the use of basic acrylic   colors paint. Each color represents a certain emotion/aspect of life. Black means life, yellow means pain, green means power, red means love and  blue means strength.

  2. What knowledge did you already have about the project before you started?

Knowledge i have about this project is that theres a lot of paint textures and also that sometimes geometry plays a great role in painting and patience.

  1. What new skill did you want to learn coming into the project?
I hope to learn how to better express myself with painting and also learn how to do different styles of  painting.

  1. Did you accomplish this goal?

Yes I did accomplish that goal.

  2. How do you know you accomplished the goal? If you didn’t accomplish the goal, why do you think that is?
I know I accomplished it because as i was was painting i used a lot of emotions and i took my time. I wasn't really thinking of a plan of how it would look but it came out exactly how I feel at times. I accomplished using geometry while painting with some squares and some hidden triangles.

  3. What other skill(s) did you learn along the way?

Stroking the brush in the same pattern makes the painting look my neat and smooth.

  4. What are you most proud of in this project?
I am most proud of the thought i put into the project and not just the finishing product being perfect.

  5. What would you do differently if you had to do the project over again? I would try to explore more designs and colors.
