Sammed Monk-Tornadoes
1. How do the earth systems affect each other? The atmosphere is the primary factor in a tornado. A zone of humid moist air colliding with dry cold air forms a funnel that will spiral down to the ground to create a tornado. This is an example of the interaction between the geosphere and atmosphere because this typically only happens over flat land. 2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? People can better prepare for tornadoes by looking to the skies to see if there is a funnel forming near them. Another tip to avoid a tornado is if you are running from one and it seems like it isn't moving that means it is getting closer to you slowly. They do only last around 10 minutes so anyone one that hides in a bunker will most likely be safe. THERE ARE NO SAFE ZONES IN A TORNADO AND THE INSIDE IS MORE TURBULANT THAN THE OUTSIDE!! 3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Clean energy is one of the things that can help us become a more sustainable country. The Paris accords are a promise to reduce greenhouse gases produced and create clean energy but former president trump pulled us out and president biden has chosen not to sign back into it. Your reaction to your findings and overall project I knew most of the things about tornadoes that we did this in this project so I don't know what to say what to say in this section but the model was pretty fun.
