SLAB XC Places 1st in Public League Meet #2
SLAB cross country runners continue to make their presence known in their first year as a team. On Monday, 9/21, the SLAB XC Boys improved upon their previous 4th place finish to finish 1st overall in their race. Cinque Harris lead the way for the rockets, running a PR of 20:21, followed by Sergio Ruiz, Camilo Ruiz, Jaycob Rodriquez, and Asaad Parsons. Rounding out the finishers were Hector Tapia and newcomers Devon Williams and Brodie Bauman.
The SLAB XC Girls had another strong showing, but were a few runners short of placing in the meet. Jacqueline Shepherd and Sameese Smith finished back to back, capturing 7th and 8th overall in their race. Chelby Elam ran her first race on the Belmont Plateau and had a strong finish.
