When it comes to gardening I have done it before, but never like this. It was always the traditional way with my mom. Tower gardening was a whole new experience for me. It was my first real time handling seeds, as my mom used to just transfer over plants with soil to our garden. So it was my first time having something I planted grow. The rock wool process is pretty easy to learn, as rock wool is just kind of a substitute for soil. The real difference in tower gardening was the difference of spheres. As traditional gardening uses the lithosphere as your planting in soil. With soil being out of the picture you instead plant in the air with the tower garden and rock wool. Your plant is mainly using the moisture from the atmosphere and the nutrients you gave it in the rock wool to support itself. Now after using tower gardens for the first time I have to say that they do have a form of Environmental Justice to them. First of all you don't have to worry about damaging soil since you're not using any. Second is that if you get one for a community or classroom everyone can use it. Lastly it doesn't release any carbon emissions and is eco-friendly. In the end tower gardening was a new experience for me and it gave me a new perspective on doing something that you already thought you knew how to do.
