PSA reflection

Posted by Avianna Wagner in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:56 am

Provide a summary of the contents of your video and a rationale for why YOU chose this topic, in paragraph form. Our psa is to show that foods you are eating may not always be the best for you without you even realizing. The foods that are provided such as school foods can either be very good for you like the salads or not the best such as the “burgers”. If you realize and eat better foods you will feel better.

What did you do well and what could you have done differently? I think what we did well with was portraying how well the salad was good for you as in a healthy relationship with someone and then the burger was in a toxic relationship. Something we could have done differently was making it longer and more to it. I think we were limited to filming because we were only allowed to get the school lunches during lunch time and not everyone was available.
What was the most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA? The most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA was to being awareness to your health.

Reflection questions

Posted by Avianna Wagner in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:32 pm

Unit Essential Questions:

What value do we see in the biodiversity and natural resources of the earth?

  • These very essential resources give us the necessities to survive, such as water, food and clean air.

What human actions are associated with altering earth’s natural systems?

  • We contribute to climate change by participating in activities like overfishing, deforestation, pollution, and habitat destruction. The Earth’s natural cycles and wildlife are disrupted by this.

How can individuals, communities and or nations live more sustainably?

  • We can plant trees, recycle, use public transportation. In addition we can turn off the water and electricity when not in use and take shorter showers.

Reflection Questions:

How did this project deepen your understanding of sustainability?

  • Throughout this project I have notice that there are so many more ways that sustainability could be done. I feel like I have always known about the electric cars, and clothing but it helped me be able to see the actual process around it. However it did also make me realize how expensive it will be to do so.

What information about your chosen industry surprised you most? Why?

  • The most that surprised me was founding out about all the little things throughout healthcare that seem obvious to use were not being used.

How did you contribute to your groups project? Provide specific examples. What were you proud of, in terms of your overall project?

  • I came up with the idea of putting the solar on top and also creating the hospital idea. As small and unrealistic they are, I am proud of the solar panels on top.
