Water contamination

Posted by Sabiana Neika Jean Baptiste in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · B on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 11:06 pm

My video is related to water contamination which is basically the presence of harmful or undesirable substances in water, mainly affecting humans. This may be called a contaminant; such as chemicals, organic substances, microorganisms or other substances that may pose a health risk or environmental damage. Contaminated water can come from a variety of sources, including industrial processes, agricultural runoff, improper waste disposal, and natural geological phenomena. This topic was chosen basically because water contamination is a problem that is almost everywhere in the world and if we do not remedy it, plants, animals and humans will not survive in the future.

I can say that the choice of the subject and its realization was a good job. If I had to change I would change the script.

The discovery of all the damage that water contamination can cause was the most meaningful part.

What value do we see in the biodiversity and natural resources of the earth? -Biodiversity and natural resources provide essential ecosystem services such as clean air, water, food, medicine, climate regulation, and cultural value What human actions are associated with altering earth’s natural systems? -Deforestation, burning fossil fuels, industrial activities, agriculture, urbanization, and pollution How can individuals, communities and or nations live more sustainably? -By minimizing waste generation, conserving water resources, promoting sustainable agriculture, protecting biodiversity, and supporting policies that prioritize environmental conservation and sustainable development. How did this project deepen your understanding of sustainability? -I can say that this project has taught me more about how we can seek to harm our planet using sustainable means. What information about your chosen industry surprised you most? Why? -Important things for me like using sustainable materials to make clothes and also having a means to recycle. Being able to open a factory that does no harm to the planet and helps grow the economy is just great. How did you contribute to your groups project? Provide specific examples. What were you proud of, in terms of your overall project? -Give some ideas, bring materials, help build the model. I was just proud to be able to help.

1-All things on earth are directly or indirectly connected. So they all have links and through these links what happens to one has an effect on the other. It is clear that all Earth systems are deeply intertwined, but this connection can sometimes have harmful, but unintended, consequences. So the toxicity of one will necessarily invade others through their connections 2- By understanding environmental science it will be easier to manage natural disasters. Because we will understand them better, even if we don’t stop them, there are things we can do. for example, we can avoid things that will make them worse, like things that are toxic to nature. And by understanding science we can also make preventions 3- It was not a bad group assignment and the subject was also interesting but I felt a little distant in the group but I fulfilled the roles assigned to me
