Waste Management

Posted by Shamar Phifer in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 11:42 pm

My PSA is about Waste management I give vocabulary words, fun facts, and ways to better waste management. I chose this topic because I feel like it’s pretty similar to what we’ve been learning about pollution. What I thought I did well was my ways to improve waste management. What I could’ve done better was to find a way to put my recording into my slides. The meaningful part of this experience was refreshing and gaining knowledge on waste management.

Human actions that are associated with altering Earth’s natural systems are 3. Communities/nations/individuals can live more sustainably by reusing recyclable materials.

Reflections Questions: 1. Not only my project but other people’s projects depend on my understanding of sustainability by showing me ways different industries can change their original ways of creating their products to more sustainable ways. 2. One thing I found interesting about my industry is that the fashion industry releases an estimated 1.2 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide annually
3. I contributed to the project by helping with the checkpoints. One thing I am proud of about our project is the physical model, I think it came out well.

The Earth’s systems affect each other because they work together to influence the climate, trigger geographic processes, and affect life all over the Earth. Understanding environmental science can help us handle natural disasters because we better understand how these events work and the threats they pose.
