Mitosis and Meiosis cell cycle

Posted by Mariatu Fayia in Biochemistry 2 · Sasso-Chryst · D on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 7:43 pm

Our body replicates many cells day by day. This is why you cut from 10 min ago heald so quickly, or why your mommy and daddy are giving you a sibling in the next 9 months. To be able to visually show you the process of Meiosis, done by me and Mitosis, done by my partner and we made visuals out of playdoh. We took a picture of each step and put it together in order to create this stop motion video. I believe that this video is clear enough for the audience to visually understand the steps that are being taken here, however, the photo quality and structure of the video could have been better. So if I have this project again, I will make sure the photo quality and video structure are better. The most meaningful part of this video was understanding the process enough to create art for the world to see. You can't make or speak on something you don't understand, but having that lightbulb go off when I did understand it help me create this masterpiece.

Stop Motion Project: Cell Cycle,Mitosis,Meiosis

This video shows the cell cycle along with the process of mitosis and meiosis. This video would help people have some type of understanding of how our body replicate cells. To create this video, I used different colors of playdough and a pipe cleaner. I had used these materials because they were in the classroom and easy to work with. Also, it was an easy way to show the cell cycle in a fun and interesting way. During this project, I had worked with someone else. We divided the work in half; she was in charge of Mitosis and I was in charge of meiosis. I believe we did a good job, however, I do believe that I could have done better. If I were to remake this video I would probably redo the photos because some were off. Also, I would fix the editing of the video. I think the most meaningful part was working with someone else.

Biochemistry Q2 Reflection

This video is a video that presents the cell cycle along with the process of mitosis and meiosis. This video would help the viewers have some type of understanding of how our body replicate cells. To create this video I had used four types of yarns and three types of playdough, and paper. I had used these materials because they were cheap and easy to modify. Along with that, it would help represent what is involved during the cell cycle. During this project, I had worked alone to create what this video is now. I believe I did a good job creating this video with the many other projects I had to do as well. I do believe that I could have done better but I am satisfied with the result of the video. If I were to remake this video I would probably have better transitioning and maybe manage my work time better. Even though this stop motion video was a bit frustrating, creating something to inform other people makes it a little better.
