Asbestos PSA

Posted by Charles Hart in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Our PSA personifies asbestos to display the danger that it poses in many areas. Through the video, asbestos strikes in old buildings, that were constructed prior to its ban on being used in house paint. I think that we could have tried to incorporate more research into the PSA. We made asbestos-man suffocate his victims, but there was a lot of other information about how asbestos can be harmful that we did not include.

Water Pollution PSA Sanai w.

Posted by Sanai Wylie in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:55 pm

Unsafe water kills more people each year than all other forms of violence combined. Water quality issues affect aquatic creatures, plants, and mammals directly. Water is a basic need as well as a major environmental issue that we deal with on a daily basis. Water is life, and we must safeguard it for the sake of the health of our ecosystem and our own personal health. I chose this topic because I thought it would be easy to research and already had prior knowledge on it. I wouldn’t really change anything but make more animations for my video.

PSA and Reflection

Posted by Amaya Hall in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 9:09 pm

My video was explaining why good injustice is important. I chose this topic because it can be overlooked. Something that did well was the information collected. Something that could have been done differently is how time was spaced out. The most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA was being able to let others know the importance.

Asbestos PSA

In this video, Malik develops severe health conditions because of asbestos, and dies in the hospital because of it. The hospital also has problems with asbestos, and the doctor also becomes asbestos. We chose to make our project on asbestos because we felt like we didn’t fully understand it, so we wanted to learn more about it. We created a very good video, with a fun plot, but I wish we had done more research on asbestos.

The most meaningful part of the experience was filming the video and doing the acting.

Asbestos PSA

Our video shows the dangers of asbestos in older buildings. We chose asbestos as our topic because we thought that it isn’t talked about much, definently in school. For our video, we made a short film that personified asbestos into an actual person/murderer. One thing I wish we would’ve done differently is try to all come together with our ideas before filming, however I do think improvising was the best part of our video.

Global Water Crisis Infographic

The global water crisis is definitely an environmental issue since water is both a building block for life and a part of the earth, it stands to reason that a lack thereof would be considered an environmental issue.

Oil Spill/Pipeline PSA

Posted by Kasim Divers in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:23 am

Throughout the course of our video, we talk about the impact of oil spills on our planet and oceans. We talk about how they affect aquatic habitats and wildlife, not to mention the effects this has on us as well. We did well with our information gathering and research, we found lots of material to use in our video on the topic. The most meaningful part for me is seeing the impact our video will have and hoping we will help to bring awareness to this issue.

Air Pollution

Posted by Seth Dunham-Snipes in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:45 pm

Basically, I chose air pollution for my topic because it has always been a problem that has been talked about on multiple occasions, but is still deemed as not important enough to actually pursue change. This is like the air we breathe in every day and it could possibly one day become very toxic and will be our downfall. Some things I did well will be probably the research aspect cause I had to like probably research thoroughly to make sure that I got the correct information. Some things I would probably do differently would be time management probably and yeah.

Oil Spills / Pipeline PSA

Posted by Kayla Morring in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:24 pm

In this video, we discuss harmful damages that are caused by human mistakes like oil spills to our environment. While also taking information from one of the largest oil spills that’s happened ever. The video also touches on data about how much wildlife this hurts and solutions that are taken to further prevent dreadful events like these to happen. I feel like my group did well putting in the effort when it counted the most. We all pitched in and played our roles well in order to come up with a sustainable conclusion. The most meaningful part of creating this PSA was to have a chance to voice out our writing and the information that we gathered as a group.
