Dejah Watts Capstone

For my capstone project, I picked struggling 5th graders and paired them up with responsible mentors in the upper class of the high school. I made sure that each of the children in the middle school had someone they could bond with while still getting the help they need. In the end, I feel I achieved just that. Everyone in the program felt like they had a special bond with each other and felt like the bond be long-lasting. Throughout the program I learned the true effect of being that special person in someone’s life, and that it can be truly life-changing.
