Maki Pettigrew Capstone

I was presented with the opportunity to help children learn the skills of public speaking in a school environment. I’ve learned through experience that striving for perfection isn’t always possible and that occasionally accepting flaws can result in the best results. I feel blessed when I assist young children in improving their communication abilities and see how they change and gain confidence. Through this process, I have come to understand the need of changing instruction to each student’s requirements, stimulating creativity, and creating an environment where each kid may express themselves uniquely.

You may see one of the projects a student created below that she used to try to persuade us to listen to a certain musician. Based on the television program Shark Tank, the project.
