Pope Fast Plants Final Reflection
Did the F2 generation look like how you predicted them to look? No, the F2 generation did not look like how I predicted instead they looked the complete opposite of what I predicted and this might be because we stopped nurturing our fast plant like we were suppose to so it ended up looking dry and shriveled up. Did the parent generation or the F2 generation grow faster? The parent generation grew faster than the F2 generation. What might have hindered your plants' ability to thrive? We didn’t water our plants very often and I don’t think we added enough fertilizer when we first planted them. How do genetics and the environment affect the phenotype of an organism? The plant might grow accustomed to artificial light and being in a tight space would make them different to other plants that receive actual sunlight and aren’t in a tight space but rather in open space where they aren’t all bunched up. Which is a greater indicator of how an organism will look? The environment that the organism inhabitants and how they’re being treated in said environment. A summary of what stood out to you during this course and why. During this course I found out that the environment that a plant is in does have a big impact on how that plant grows and how it would turn out in the end. I found this out because I noticed at first when we were treating our plant right and nurturing it it was very green and had little seeds growing on it and but when we stopped nurturing them they started to wilt and turn from a healthy green to a dessert/sandish color and didn’t have little pods growing on them anymore.
