Surviving Social Media

Online I am perceived as a “ghost” a lot of people tell me that because I post on occasion and almost NEVER like/comment on peoples posts.”Tbh hi anisa u cool u funny  but show love and return a tbh” says one of my followers.  People as far as I’m concerned don’t give me any bad feedback as far as my twitter, instagram, vine, Snapchat, etc. On some social media people will send me direct messages about how I’m funny.

Online I am a young lady who posts things that I feel others should know about. I feel that I appear as a teenager who doesn’t post media of inappropriate things I’m very positive. People perceive me as a  positive teenager who doesn’t interact with negativity. When I post I think about who will see this and how will it affect them or myself. Also is this a positive representation of myself. The pros of social media  is sharing the good and fun things that happen in my life and promote positive things in the world. The cons are that any/every person alive has access to it. With the proper equipment someone could easily stalk me.

Permanence, and Immediacy can impact lives because involving yourself in these things could instantly change your reputation. I feel that if you are going to pursue a professional career the first thing you need to do is think about how you show yourself online . So with that being said employers can/should do social media checks because if you feel as if you should do inappropriate things and share to the world then your purpose of having your name linked to my company is out the door. Free Speech is being able to say whatever it is you feel without causing negativity to others/yourself.

Internet trolls are people that post negative, rude, and inappropriate comments for attention. They lie, exaggerate, and offend others often. Their goals are to post comments to start a negative conversation and upset people.Trolling can be stopped by reporting them to the officials of that social media site. Or just simply ignore them they are not worth inserting your anger when they still will remain anonymous. The Pros is that nobody will know who you are unless you have the urge to search that deep into the name. The cons are you can be reported to officials and tell them and then the police can become apart of the situation and search your I.P Address, etc.
