Dear The real cost, I am extremely moved by your zine because "The real cost" because this is sadly something that I see everyday, even with some people that I am close with. I feel like people will always be somewhat in their phone because that's just the world that we currently live in and now we're at a point where some of us cannot live without it. However I think that the big issue comes in when people become completely diluted with their technology. One sentence that stood out to be in this zine was when Bobbie wrote "We aren't made to walk through life with a computer chip brain" This is meaningful to because this sadly is how many people including some I'm close with function. I do actually wish people would spend a bit more time in the real world because it has so much to offer and provides nothing it endless opportunity. Another sentence I liked reading was in that same poem where it says "Anxiety 50lbs, Depression 75lbs" this stood out for me because it let me think of just how much weight is placed on peoples shoulders when it comes down to posting or being active on the media. Another reason I agree with this is because I feel as though people constantly indulging in nothing but a screen strips them away from their full potential. Even if their Career focuses online its still good to take a break and put the screen down for a bit. Have you seen the movie bird box ? I know that in Bird Box they didn't lose their technology but they were unable to use their ability to see. I think this is interesting because people are so full of the phones to the point where it has become a like a sense to some and would be interesting to see how society would function without it. Thank you for your writing, I am very interested to see what you guys write in the future because I do see why some people would want completely dilute themselves in technology. It could be used to escape the real world but there are still many cons that lie within doing this, bot only are you missing out on the real world, but your missing out on yourself.

Dear The Real Cost :

I am absolutely and utterly shocked by your zine, “The Real Cost,” because I wasnt familiar with all of this insane knowledge. Ive had sleepless nights just thinking about this profound zine.

One part of your zine that stands out for me is where you actually made a physical version. I think this is incredible because no one else had such passion and sheer creativity to do such a thing.

Another part that I adored is where the collages where so vibrant with color and popping with emotion and childlike whimsy. This stood out for me because not only was this so informational but it was amazing to look at.

Your zine reminds me of something that I made once. One time I had this exact same class with this exact same teacher. We had to do this exact same project. I also made a zine with my group for an english grade.

Thanks for your zine. I look forward to seeing what you make next, because this is the greatest thing that i have ever laid my eyes upon. This has made my day and I am jumping for joy as we speak.

The collages in this zine are very creative, and add to the message that they are trying to convey. The poem "The invisible cost" conveys the message even more perfectly, and really painted the picture of what social media has caused our modern society to become. This zine is very meaningful because we are missing out on certain things that past generations got to experience because of the way social media is in our society. This zine resonates with me and would like to see some change in our era as far as social media.
