I think this project was extremely important. I say this because it goes over why philly has the reputation it does. This is important because this is the place that we live. Its important to know whats going on in the place that we live. I also think its important to realize that philadelphia is one of the many places in the world that's very dangerous.

I am really impressed with your zine because it really goes in-depth with the current situation. I really liked the cover page and how it corresponds with the entire zine, and its topics. Really great zine all around.

I am loving how detailed your pages are especially your creative response "Frankford Drugs Addiction" , as a person that's from west poplar (around the frankford area) I've watched both Kensington and Frankford continue to deteriorate over the years

One part of your artwork that stands out for me is where the images and words compliment each other I think this is really nice because it tells a story. from the citizens and police patrolling the streets from the "Lets make philly better" oozing through the screen. From a design standpoint I love it

Another part that I liked is where the spaces between pictures show a tear ,This stood out for me because it's as if we're flipping through a magazine

Your collage reminds me of something that I made once. One time I created a collage for my ice breaker advisory project where I made a collage of things that relate to me. I say so because this collage really embodies kensington.

Thanks for your "Frankford Drugs Addiction". I look forward to seeing what you make next, because your design is very unique. This inspires me to edit my zine.

I am interested in your poem, “Philly is in pain,” because it talks about what citizens that live in Philadelphia are going through. Basically saying that Philadelphia is one big family, so stop trying to kill, and hurt everyone. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “We are a family We are a community We are a team Lets stop”. I agree with this statement because Philadelphia is one big community. So whatever one person goes through, the whole community will have to go through because like I said we are one big community, and everyone is getting affected by the actions of careless people. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next

Dear Somaia:

I am amazed by your zine, “What gives Philly a bad rep” because of all the detail put into it. Just the title page alone has a lot of cool details like the images in the letters. I like some pages like the "frankford drug addiction" page where there was a bunch of pictures that added more life and meaning to the pages.

One part of your zine that stands out for me is how it's something I can relate to, in fact everyone in here can relate to because it's where we live. I think this is important because topics like this can either completely hit someone or miss them. This zine might be less popular out of Philly but learning more about where you live in a way like this could hit anyone hard.

Another part that I enjoyed is the boxes poem. This stood out for me because some of the words being a different color looked really good as well as the wording.

Your zine reminds me of something that I made once. One time I also made a zine focusing on bad things. My main focus was about presidents and one was George Washington who was also at Philly at a point in time.

Thanks for your zine. I look forward to seeing what you make next, because I loved the details and poems. They added so much to the reading experience and hooked me in to read more.

Your collage reminds me of something that I made once. One time I had to make a college for English class in October 2022. I made one where I used simple images but this is a different and unique. I like it, good work.
