Posted by Angie Cordoba in FreshmenArt on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:08 pm
This is Angel's room and in this room she made a lot of memorize with her friends. She haves amazing picture of her and her friends all over her walls. She haves a teddy bear from her past friend. As you walk into Angel's room you see her window, her bed and her closet. Her bed is right under the window while her closet is on the left side wall. Angel always have to go to modeling class every Saturday so she always have her makeup out on her table ready to go. And every Tuesday and Thursday she haves to go to ballet and modern dance so she haves her ballet shoes near her bed. Angel makes sure that her room is always clean because she can't stand a dirty room and also because she needs her floor clean to be able to practice dancing and modeling.

Posted by Angie Cordoba in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · e2 on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 9:56 am

SLIDE 2: An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.`

The internet has changed the communication because now a days students are more attentive to their phone because of social media such as instagram

SLIDE 3 : Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.

Immediacy: it affects us online because if we post something online then lots of people can see it and they could start sending it to there friends and etc. It affects us offline because if someone posted something that’s insulting someone by accident then people start making fun of others. An example is “Nicole’s Story.”

Permanence: it affects us online because when we post something and delete it, it doesn’t automatically disappear from the internet.

Lack of Control: When someone doesn’t have control of the thing that they posted. Lack of control is affecting us because we can’t control what could happen to what we post. An example is let's say i sent a picture to one of my friends after that she would have access to send it to her other friends and i won’t be able to do anything about it.

SLIDE 4 : What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)

Make your account private and not accept people that you don't know

4.Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example.

The internet does not have rules. But the websites that are on the internet do have rules. An example is Twitter, Twitter has rules that you have to accept to be on the website not everyone follows the rules on twitter but they still got it.

SLIDE 6 : Define cyberbullying in your own words.

Cyberbullying: saying mean things to someone online

SLIDE 7 : Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying

Trolling is cyberbullying because it is doing something purposely. Unintentional is cyberbullying because when you say something on the internet you don't think it would hurt the other person's feelings

SLIDE 8 : Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying

Victims:Don't post all your business on social media.

Bullies: if you don't like what they post then keep scrolling

Bystanders: help out the victim

SLIDE 9 : Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet

  1. Be careful on what you post

  2. Don’t talk/ meet up with total strangers

  3. Watch what you say

  4. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all

Think Before You Post

Source of my story :http://puresight.com/Real-Life-Stories/phoebe-prince.html

My story is on this girl named Phoebe. One day she got asked to a school dance by a senior, and she accepted his offer. Some girls got jealous because she was asked by a football senior. They started to cyber bully her and say horrible things to her. So the night before her winter dance she decided to hang herself.

The immediacy in this story is that they kept calling her names on social media and they wouldn't stop. This story permanence is that everything that they said on social media, was still on social media so anyone could see what was going on and agree or even disagree. Finally her lack of control was that their was no way for her to take any of it down because she didn't have control of their messages and she couldn't stop it. The only thing that came to her mind of stopping it was death.

I believe that if I was Phoebe I wouldn't have killed myself because of death. I wouldn't think that that's a way to solve anything, I would of informed an adult that can help me with this situation. If that didn't work I would ask them to stop. And if that didn't work either I would talk to someone who would be able to shut down the whole website. I watched a movie about a girl getting cyber bullied and she attempted to kill herself but luckily her friend stopped her and at the end of the story the people who where bullying her had left her alone after she got help. To me the moral of the story is to not kill yourself because people say rude things because anything that you do people will hate on you, so be yourself and have fun with your life.
