  • The value we see in the biodiversity and and natural resources of the earth could consist of essential ecosystem services, economic benefits, and cultural significance

What human actions are associated with altering earth’s natural systems?

  • deforestation, pollution, over consumption of resources, and climate change from greenhouse gas emissions

How can individuals, communities and or nations live more sustainably?

  • We can live more sustainably by conserving resources, reducing waste, utilizing renewable energy, and promoting sustainable practices in consumption and production.

Reflection Questions:

How did this project deepen your understanding of sustainability?

  • This project deepened my understanding of sustainability by highlighting the effect and impacts of human activities on the environment

What information about your chosen industry surprised you most? Why?

  • Learning about the degradation caused by certain activities such as mining and agriculture, surprised me the most because these activities are involved in so many industries yet they are so bad for the environment.

How did you contribute to your groups project? Provide specific examples. What were you proud of, in terms of your overall project?

  • I contributed to our group project by fact checking, researching and making the slide show. I was very proud of how our model and slide show turned out. I was also proud of the idea we came up with.

How do the earth systems affect each other? The earth systems effect each other because simple changes in the atmosphere can affect the climate, which can impact ecosystems and water cycles.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

Understanding environmental science helps in aiding natural disasters by providing people with knowledge of the causes, signs, and impacts of the natural disaster. This knowledge aids in better preparation, reaction, and planning

Your reaction to your findings and overall project I found it very interesting how volcanoes are caused.
