water contamination

I should talk about water pollution in Philadelphia because it can make people sick, harm nature, and damage the city’s systems. If we talk about it, we can work towards cleaner water and safer communities for everyone. I think I did pretty well with editing the video and adding a fix to it. I wish we could have got better audio recording and less Loud sound effects in the background but other than that I think the video turned out pretty fine. I think the most minimal part of creativeness was just the fact of spending awareness to our own community.

Amber's Q3 Benchmark Reflection

Nature’s variety and stuff like clean air, water, and plants are really important. They help us live well, grow food, control weather, and keep things balanced for life on Earth. So when people cut down forests, catch too many fish, cause pollution, build cities, and mess with the climate, it messes up nature. Animals and plants suffer, and things stop working as they work in ways that don’t wreck the. So to help nature, we should save energy and water, use clean energy like wind and sun, farm in ways that don’t wreck the land, and protect forests and other natural spots from their natural resources from being taken too much.

This project helped me understand sustainability better because it made me think more about whether I’m choosing the safest and healthiest cleaning options. I was amazed by how few natural cleaning liquids there are that don’t use chemicals, I thought there were more options to choose from. Overall, I think I did well in helping my group write down the plan for our project and help brainstorm on what we wanted to do.

Amber Thompson- Tsunami

How do the earth systems affect each other? The Earth’s different systems, like the atmosphere, water, land, and living things, all connect and influence each other. When one changes, it affects the others.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

Environmental science helps us deal with natural disasters by letting us understand why they happen. This then helps us predict and get ready for events like hurricanes or floods, so we can protect people better. It also helps us use sustainable practices to reduce the harm from these disasters.
