Cyni Randle Capstone

Posted by Cyni Randle in Senior Capstone · Burrows-Stone · e1 on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 8:15 pm

I create this project in hopes that it could inspire anyone that listens to it to become more active in the activism world and not just follow the trends of society. Want today’s generation and the future generations to know what activism really is and how much it can change society’s opinion on a certain topic. With everything happening in the world today I think we need some real activism that is willing to fight public figures and politicians for the things we need as citizens and as people. My podcast The New Activism will address the many different types of activism and how today’s generation has kinda changed the meaning of activism.

Plastic Pollution PSA

Posted by Cyni Randle in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · B on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:15 pm

In our PSA we talk about how much plastic is being used and how it affects our environment and Animals. we also address how recycling doesn’t really help with the issue as it usually ends up in landfills or in the oceans. we chose this topic because it was something new we didn’t learn about in class and because it was something that we see every day in our communities.

I think that we did a pretty good job on the video but something we could have done better would probably have to be on our script and planning what we wanted in the video. we didn’t really know what we wanted and just made up as we went.

I think the most meaningful part of creating the PSA is in my opinion realizing how much plastic we use and how bad it is for the environment but not really being able to do anything about it because getting rid of plastic entirely would take a lot of time and money. and recycling doesn’t always guarantee that it won’t end up in landfills.

Cyni Randle - Global water crisis

Posted by Cyni Randle in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · B on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 8:51 pm

reflection: something that stood out to me while learning about the global Water Crisis is the issue of not having clean water is happening in so many places and they aren’t getting help from the government to fix the problem. The people in the town are having to take time out of their busy work daws to collect water just so they and their kids have something to drink. in one of the sections or the website provided for us, they talked about how schools ended up having to take away from learning time to collect water so that the children not only have clean water at school but at home too. I think that even if the places that are dealing with this issue aren’t major cities they should still get some kind of help from the government.
