Toxic City

Posted by Glenn Davis in Environmental Science · Sasso · Y s1 on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 10:27 pm

Reflection: While I worked on this project with my peers. I thought about how many people in my own city got badly affected by lead and it deeply saddened me. https://padlet.com/ratkins20/8ciifzpp1mni

Sustainable Businesses Clothing Benchmark

Slides: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Z7p9zUhUQMGAxIyhybRMih5e3yU1-8hQuK0PlGovGkI/edit?usp=sharing. In our project, When we create our fabulous fabric, we only barely impact the biosphere. We only really use wool to make cotton-based clothing. We use cotton to make all types of things. From denim jeans to comfy socks. We don’t believe in destroying the planet like the other companies. Our eco-footprints don’t really leave a big impact. When we take materials from nature we usually replace it. We have a farm of our own where we grow plants and raise sheep of our own.

1. How do earth systems affect each other? They help each other for example, the hydrosphere helps the biosphere to stay alive. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? Understanding this could possibly help us prevent natural disasters. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? We could recycle.

2. Our findings were really interesting. It was fascinating to see how the hydrosphere and geosphere interact.

The Room

Posted by Glenn Davis in FreshmenArt on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 12:53 pm
A 24 year old that just came out of college is finally arrives home.  She see's that a lot of her stuff collected dust. The first thing she noticed is that her dog Max didn't greet her when she came in. She see's her favorite gaming console, A GameCube she was given when she was seven years old. Her lemon scented candle that was giving to her as a graduation gift, filled the whole room with fresh lemony air. The laptop she treasures was sitting on the coffee table collecting dust, right where she left it. These were all gifts giving to her when she first started college.

Jessica Logan

Jessica Logan got cruelly teased by other girls at her high school after her boyfriend broke up with her and sent out all of her private pictures and messages. After a while her grades dropped and she started skipping school. But when she did come to school she hid in the bathroom. When Jessica was interviewed on a cincinnati TV show

She said,¨I just want to make sure no one else will have to go through this again.¨

Shortly after she went to a funeral of a boy who committed suicide she killed herself

Immediacy

She did not  wait until they were really close to post naked pictures of herself to her boyfriend

Lack of control

She texted pictures of herself nude to anybody. She did not thought about the consequences first.

Permanence

She took nude pictures of herself without thinking about who could see them.

My Advice

My advice for Jessica is for her not to ever post nude pictures of herself to anybody.

You never know who you can trust. One day you can be boyfriend and girlfriend and another day you can be mortal enemies.
