Our video showed the danger of air pollution for people who have lung diseases. I understood this topic the most when we learned it so I felt better about teaching it. Our video could have been a bit more creative but we got the point across well.

That they have the ability to be sustainable What human actions are associated with altering earth’s natural systems? There are multiple but mainly overuse, deforestation, and pollution How can individuals, communities and or nations live more sustainably? This project allowed me to fully understand the definition of sustainability and how different people/companies can be sustainable What information about your chosen industry surprised you most? Why? I was surprised to find out that the healthcare industry contributes a lot to greenhouse emissions How did you contribute to your groups project? Provide specific examples. What were you proud of, in terms of your overall project? I helped with the physical model (hot gluing, drawing, writing, and finding the materials.) I researched the information about hospitals contribution to emissions and contributed to checkpoint 1 and 2 and did some slides on checkpoint 3.
How do the earth systems affect each other? There are multiple earth systems that are involved with volcanoes and their eruptions. The atmosphere is affected by the smoke, the hydrosphere is affected by the messed up atmosphere, the geosphere makes the volcano, and people can be affected by the eruption. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? It can help prevent too much damage from the aftermath of a natural disaster
