This PSA aims to educate and inspire viewers to take action against air pollution in Philadelphia, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to address this pressing issue. It should provide viewers with a sense of urge to bring change. I was interested in this issue because my sister has asthma which can be triggered by air pollution. I think I did well with the video editing and I wish I had gotten interviews of civilians in the city’s input on the topic. The most meaningful part was seeing how my feelings about the environment changed.

1. What value do we see in the biodiversity and natural resources of the earth? The value between natural resources and biodiversity is kind of like a ying yang relationship. They both work together to provide ecosystem services such as clean air, water, and soil, regulates climate, provides food, medicine, and materials for various industries, and contributes to cultural and aesthetic values.
2. What human actions are associated with altering earth’s natural systems? These actions that contribute to altering the earth’s natural systems are deforestation, habitat destruction, overexploitation of resources, pollution,etc.
3. How can individuals, communities and or nations live more sustainably? We as individuals can live more sustainably, individuals, communities, and nations must prioritize conservation efforts, adopt practices such as reducing consumption and waste, promoting renewable energy sources, implementing sustainable agricultural and fishing methods and much more.

Reflection Questions: 1. How did this project deepen your understanding of sustainability?

This project has deepened my understanding of sustainability by showing the contribution between human activities and environmental health, prompting a great examination of our societal norms and environmental practices.

1. What information about your chosen industry surprised you most? The materials used to make products. I knew oil was important for transportation but it’s like one of the main contributors to the transportation industry.
2. How did you contribute to your groups project? I contributed to the project by helping building and creating the physical component as well presenting our research done in the check points and creating the slideshow Provide specific examples. What were you proud of, in terms of your overall project? I am proud that every one contributed.

How do the earth’s systems affect each other?

Hurricanes develop by starting in the hydrosphere as warm air and ocean tides interact. Weather and climate also play a big part in how these systems interact. Tropical areas are more likely to be the perfect place for Hurricanes to develop through the earth’s systems.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

In environmental science, by studying natural disasters, we can better understand how these disasters work and how to properly prepare for them.

Through this project, we were able l to research interesting facts about Hurricanes and we can’t wait to share them with the class on how many people are affected by hurricanes and how to prepare.
