Waste Management

Posted by PURMAH HOQUE in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · A on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 9:25 am

This video emphasizes the pivotal role of waste management in promoting environmental sustainability. It advocates for individual responsibility through the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, highlighting the importance of conscious consumption and proper disposal methods. Furthermore, it underscores the need for education and collaboration among various stakeholders to effect systemic change. The passage also stresses the significance of governmental policies, business initiatives, and technological innovation in advancing waste management practices towards a circular economy. Probably would’ve changed the voiceover. It would probably be the convincing public part.

  1. Biodiversity and natural resources provide essential ecosystem services, sustain livelihoods, economies, and cultures, and offer recreational and aesthetic benefits.
  2. Human actions altering Earth’s systems include deforestation, pollution, overexploitation of resources, introduction of invasive species, climate change, urbanization, and unsustainable agricultural practices.
  3. Living sustainably involves reducing consumption and waste, conserving energy, protecting natural habitats, promoting sustainable agriculture, fostering education and awareness, and supporting policy and governance for environmental protection.

  4. This project deepened my understanding of sustainability by highlighting the intricate balance between environmental, social, and economic factors in sustainable agriculture practices.

  5. The most surprising information about sustainable agriculture was the significant impact small-scale and regenerative farming methods can have on soil health, biodiversity, and overall ecosystem resilience, which often outperform conventional industrial farming practices.
  6. I was proud of how the project turned out over all.

Purmah natural disaster

How do the earth’s systems affect each other?

Earth systems communicate and have an impact on one another. For example, the atmosphere affects the hydrosphere, and the biosphere impacts the atmosphere and carbon cycle.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

By figuring out the causes of natural disasters, creating early warning systems, and directing recovery efforts, environmental science aids in the management of such events.
