Sakeric Lester Capstone

Posted by Sakeric Lester in Senior Capstone · Burrows-Stone · e1 on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:39 pm

In my Capstone, I worked with Idris. Our goal was to create a watered-powered go-kart at first, but we changed it to a solar-powered electric go-kart. I originally chose this idea on my own and we eventually teamed up to complete it. I chose this because a go-kart has been done in my school, but it was electric and we wanted to try a different approach. In the process of making our go-kart, we first had to learn about how cars work and basically a lot about what does what in a vehicle. We took a lot of knowledge from articles and videos teaching us about how to make a go-kart and how it works. These videos also taught us about what’s the cheapest route and ways to make it easier on ourselves because our first goal was to make a water-powered go-kart, but that’s way too hard and it was expensive. The engine we needed started at 10,000 dollars and making the engine would’ve taken too much time out of us. Our product, which is the go-kart is fully functional and solar-powered, so it will never die and charges itself. We learned a lot about this project. It was more of a journey. A lot of weeks went by, where we were stuck in the same stage, but go through it. We learned time management and other things that can help us in the future and I’m proud that we finished it.

Plastic Waste PSA

Posted by Sakeric Lester in Environmental Science · Sasso · D on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:01 am

The contents of our video include examples and facts about plastic waste. Plastic waste is basically masses of mismanaged waste over oceans and land. I chose this topic because it’s simple and interesting. I did well by editing the video. I wouldn’t do anything differently because I put effort into the PSA. The most meaningful part of the PSA was my group’s collaborative effort to complete it.

Water Crisis: US Pipeline

Posted by Sakeric Lester in Environmental Science · Sasso · D on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:54 pm

The age of the US pipeline has a lot to do with the polluted water problems in the states. We chose to highlight Flint, Michigan knowing that they have no clean drinking water because their pipeline is contaminated by lead. We also highlighted more specific facts like how cast iron pipes and iron pipes are at their breaking point and are either breaking or cracking allowing the harmful substances to get into the water.

Hi, my name is Sakeric, and I’ve created a meme that should and definitely work your brain. My goal is to make you guys think hard, and want to solve this riddle. I got my riddle from a website called, “https://www.rd.com/list/challenging-riddles/.” I hope you guys appreciate the post I created, and solve the riddle, if you can.

I created a meme of a riddle that I got off of a website called, “https://www.rd.com/list/challenging-riddles/,” for an extra credit assignment. The goal of this assignment is to hopefully make you guys work your brain, and see if you can solve this riddle. Its a little bit simple when you get the answer, but that’s only if you can get the answer.
