I chose to make this sculpture because it will help me when i'm reading in the dark. Since i wear glasses and like to read this will help me a lot when i choose to read in the dark. I constructed a sculpture that'll help me do what i love and that is read. This is a cheaper way to light up your glasses instead buying them for however much it'll usually cost.

The owner of this room is a quiet and to herself person. She loves music and sleeping. one personal item she has in her room is a signed Britney Spears poster. This is personal because Britney Spears is her favorite singer ever. The second personal item is a photograph that is hanging on the wall of her and her sister before she left for college. The third personal thing is a gift box her father recently sat in her room after she left for school. In the room you'll see a bed and dresser at the corner, poster and photograph hanging on the wall, a door, a window, a chair, a gift box, and a rug.

  1. An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.

  2. Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.

  3. What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)

  4. Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example.

  5. Define cyberbullying in your own words.

  6. Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying

  7. Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying

  8. Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet

  1. The internet changed how people keep in touch or communicate.Instead of going to see someone you most like to skype or facetime them. Some people are so focused on the internet they don’t even talk to their family members at home.

  2. Immediacy: as soon as you post it’s immediately on the internet for people to see. Permanence: When you post something, someone can save to their device so whether you delete it on not somebody else has it or reposted it so it’s still on the internet .Lack of control: you have no control of where the post goes after you post it

  3. You could look yourself up and see what shows up. Keep your private life private

  4. I think some parts of the internet have rules. Like on twitter there are things you can and can’t do.

  5. Cyberbullying: using the internet to attack someone

  6. Outing and flaming are types of cyberbullying. They are considered cyberbullying because it’s harassment over the internet.

  7. Victim: Try not to take what they’re saying to heart. Bully: Put yourself and their shoes. Bystander: try and help the victim

  8. 1. Be very careful

          2. Keep your private life private

          3. Be considerate

          4. Be mindful

For this assignment, please find a story about an individual's use of social media (it can be a positive or negative use) and explain the story and the effects that this choice had on the individual's life or the life of others. Also, please explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control played into the story and give the individual advice for their online life.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/woman-behind-boston-marathon-bombing-costume-blasts-critics-article-1.1508156

Alicia Ann Lynch, 22,  dressed for Halloween as a Boston Marathon bombing victim and sparked rage throughout twitter. She says her family has been subjected to death threats and was fired from her job. Alicia’s personal information were leaked like her driver’s license and even her family’s address in Fairgrove, Mich. After death threats toward her parents and best friend Lynch stated “ She didn’t know what I was doing. My family didn’t know what I was doing. I don’t live with them. And they’re all getting dragged into this for something I did.”. Alicia apologized for her offensive costume“What I did may have been wrong, but is it truly right to wish harm upon someone and say that you’re doing it for the victims?” she said. “As being a part of a tragic event I never would ever wish what had happened to me upon someone else, as I can say most people wouldn’t wish death upon someone to ‘make it right.”

Immediacy : As soon as she posted her costume it immediately got negative feedback.

Permanence: After she posted it whether she deleted it or not it was still on the internet from people posting it on their social media.

Lack of control: After she posted it she lost all control of the picture. She couldn’t control the death threats toward her friends and family. She couldn’t control where the picture ended up or the comments.

Advice: Be more considerate of others and be mindful of what you wear and post. Maybe next time you could wear a costume that doesn’t offend others and doesn’t touch on sensitive subject such as the Boston Marathon bombing.

Lynch’s social media accounts, pulling out nude pics and a partial photo of her driver’s license, which included personal details such as her family’s address in Fairgrove, Mich. After death threats toward her parents and best friend Lynch stated “ She didn’t know what I was doing. My family didn’t know what I was doing. I don’t live with them. Lynch had a message for her most extreme critics. “What I did may have been wrong, but is it truly right to wish harm upon someone and say that you’re doing it for the victims?” she said. “As being a part of a tragic event I never would ever wish what had happened to me upon someone else, as I can say most people wouldn’t wish death upon someone to ‘make it right.”
