Earth systems affect each other because they are constantly interacting with one another. For example, the geosphere interacts with the atmosphere when certain resources are mined and used and gases are released and stored in the atmosphere. 2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? Understanding environmental science can aid in handling natural disasters because it gives us a way to keep people safe during the disaster, predict the disaster, and know how bad it will be. 3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Efforts we can make to create a sustainable future are but are not limited to: reducing the number of resources used, recycling properly, using reusable energy/energy saving products, stop using resources that create an unhealthy atmosphere such as coal, etc. Reaction: This project helped me get a better understanding of the environment and how to create a better and healthier environment where humans and the Earth can hold a sustainable relationship with one another.
