Travel Project

Posted by Salina Beattie in SPANISH 2 - Moran - D on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 6:30 pm

This project was about traveling to a Spanish country and staying for a couple of days, to a week. For me personally this project was every insightful. For example, this project taught me how to actually plan and pay for a trip. I had fun doing this project with my group members because we all had never been there, so this was cool to plan as if we were going.

Poetry Project

Posted by Salina Beattie in SPANISH 2 - Moran - D on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 6:27 pm

This project was poetry based. We had to find a poet with a life/ and or story that we could relate too. Then we had to write a biography about the poet that we choose, and a autobiography about our self. Also, we had to write one of the poets poem's in Spanish. Then we had to take one of the theme's out of that poem and write our own. I especially had a good time with this project because I myself am a poet! This project was fun not only because I got to write a poem, but I also got to look into someone else's life who I could relate too.

Viajar con nosotros. This project is about creating a travel company, a travel package and a commercial to describe the travel company. We were given approximately 3 weeks to complete the project with a group. I feel that I completed this project very well given the time and group I worked with. We had to make minor adjustments with the group presentation, however we did very well.

Poem Project- Shaylyn W

Posted by Shaylyn Westmoreland in SPANISH 2 - Moran - D on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 7:02 pm

This project is about poetry. The assignment was to research a poet, reflect on one of their poems and create your own poetry based on what they wrote. This project was a small project, but had a lot of impact on me.

For this project, we had to create and plan a trip to a Spanish-speaking country of our choice. My group decided to choose Panama, and we worked together very well. Although each person in the group had a specific role, we still all worked together very nicely.

La Poesía Espańola Project

La Poesía Espańola
For this project we had to research a primarily Spanish-speaking poet and a poem from them. We also had to create a poem inspired by their life or poem. From all of the obstacles I faced during this project I think I deserved my grade.

In this project we were obligated to find a Spanish poet out of the list that was given and that had a poem that was officially translated to English. After we found the poet we had to answer a series of questions that were provided. After answering the question we were supposed to extract a theme and then use the theme in the poem of our own. I poem was to be in both Spanish and in English. In this I feel as if I executed the poem to the best of my abilities.

El Poeta: Antonio Machado

¿Mi Corazón Ha ido A dormir?

solamente sombra adentro?

No, mi corazón no está dormido.

Es despierto, de par en par despierto.

No dormidos, no soñar

Me siento perdido. Por desgracia, a veces nunca termino mis canciones. Así que hay algunas diferencias.

Brote

Miro a la arena.

Muerto, seco

Y sin vida.

No hay nada para mí aquí…

Pero todavía estoy.

Estoy buscando algo...

Nada.

Caiga una sola gota.

La vida brota de la arena.

Pronto duchas de agua

Llueven.

Ahora miro a mi tesoro.

Mi creatividad.

In this project we had to chose a spanish poet and one of their poems. Then, you would reflect on their poem and the poet's accomplishments. Afterwards, you look at your own accomplishments and write a poem in spanish with he same feeling the poet's poem had on you.

La Poesía Española

Posted by Hadja Diallo in SPANISH 2 - Moran - D on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:51 pm

We had to choose a famous Spanish poet, then we had to choose one of his/her poetry we liked or were related to and translate it to Spanish. We also had to describe the poets and our life. We had to translate/describe what the poet's poetry was and we had to write our own poetry. This was a bit hard for me because poetry is not my thing, but I enjoyed looking up different Spanish poets.

This project was a little different from the others. For this project we had to foloow the cost and curcumstances of a trip to a specific place. Me and my group chose to do Trujilo Peru. We chose this because someone in my group came up with it. We also had to include a brochure for our own travel companie.
