Cell Phone Use Project

To be more conscious of our own phone use as it relates to research around learning, brain function and addiction. To be more conscious of our own phone use as it relates to research around learning, brain function and addiction. My conclusion of all my data is we need to lower the usage because me and my peers are in fact addicted to their cell phones. Researchers say that cell phone addiction comes from Social media, games websites etc.. While analyzing data I realized that the amount of checks I am too addicted to my cell phone and I can prevent it. The way i'll prevent it is use the “cheeky” so I can stop  over using my phone.

My Cellphone Use Project

Posted by Muminah Muhammad in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · e1 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1:31 pm

The purpose of this project was to track how many times I used my cellphone. I found that I used my phone around the same amount of times my peers. To fix my addiction, I can turn off my phone when I do not need it or when it is distracting me in class. The data was collected in a googles spreadsheet with all the freshman's data that was entered into google forms.

Multitasking and cell phone addiction

Posted by Ellis Uhl in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · e1 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1:23 pm

This project will be about analyzing the grade as a whole on their cell phone usage to determine whether or not they might be multitasking during Class.
To conclude I found that Though my highest amount of cell phone checks was lower than the average high of cell phone checks it doesn't mean that I too am not Multitasking during class which if solutions are not made will have a lasting negative effect on me and my peers.
I believe that the necessary next steps for me and my peers is to try to limit phone time during actual class periods and maybe just check notifications in the hallways.
I wrote my data  using the checky app which was able to track my data.

1.I am doing this project to find out if I am addicted to my phone and make a comparison with my fellow peers.
2.What I learned now based on the data is that the majority of people use their time watching youtube (about 14 people)while the second use social media.i also learned that not one person said they use their phone for education purposes.
3.
#1: try to keep check of the number of times you use your phone per day.

Modified Multitasking & Cell Phone Addiction

Posted by Aniya Staley in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · e1 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1:14 pm

My conclusion is that the highest number of cell phone usage is 173 and the average is 62. I say phones are like drugs people once people stare using their phone they can't stop its like once you start something you can't stop. I don't use my phone as much during the day but at night I'm pretty much on my phone all the time so I can understand what it means to be addictive towards your phone. I think the meaning of this project is to get a better understanding of how much time we spend on our phone and what the reasoning might be. Its might also help us with using it less if we know that other people check their phones more than you do.

In this project we will be analyzing data from 9th grade students at SLA Beeber. This data represents the amount of times kids check their phones every day. In conclusion I found out that I need to check my phone A LOT less. Here is where I got my data.
I think some kids need to work on trying to do more things without their phones like homework. As well as limit their cell phone usage and working on not multitasking by of course spending time away from their phones

The purpose of this project was to compare my cellular device use to my peers. I concluded that my cell phone use is kind if in the middle. Some tips for using your phone less are turning it off, turning off notifications, and deleting apps you use too much. Here is where I got my data from.

The purpose of this project was also to learn about multitasking and cell phone addiction.I have discovered that a lot of my peers use their phone and they might have an addiction to their phone. I know that I should spend less time on my phone. I have also learned about multitasking and how it takes longer to do two things at once then focusing on one thing.I found two things that can help with cell phone addiction turn off notifications or sounds that want make you want to check your phone and creating a digital safe. How we collected are data was using an app called checky and it recorded our number of times we checked are phone. This is our Data
