Slide 2. An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.
The Internet has changed communication over time by how others use it. Ex.Communication started from little beepers that hung off people belt now we have Iphones.
Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.
Slide 3. Immediacy- when you post something and open up something and it immeditly shared to others
Ex.When you post a comment on a non- private account and the whole world can see your comment
Slide 4. Permanence- when you post a comment online and it’s forever online.
Ex. Posting a nudity video online.
Slide 5. Lack of Control- when you the user don’t have any control over.
Ex.The story we read in class when the boy had a gay roommate and he put a camera in the room to record his gay roommate and his boyfriend.
Slide 6. What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)
Create a private account;not sharing any personal information
Creating a page with the little star on your page that shows your the real user/account owner
Slide 7. Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example.
Yes,The internet have rules.Why because in my opinion I considered the laws to the Internet as rules based on what you can or cannot do. For example,The First Attendant. Anonymity (Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press)The freedom to publish any written work anonymously.
Slide 8. Define cyberbullying in your own words.
Cyberbullying is bullying that is over a monitor device controlled by a person(s).
Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying
Outing-posting someone’s information online.
Polling-the posts that include rates judging others personal appearances.
Both are considered bullying of both types being done online.
Slide 9. Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying
Victims of cyberbullying just calm down and don’t be scared to speak up for bullying.
Bullies of cyberbullying don’t ever bully anyone’s kids because that is very wrong.And being a bully is not good because it doesn’t make you any better than the person that is getting bullied.
Bystanders of cyberbullying please speak up about what is happening with others don’t be scared.
Slide 10. Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet
Don’t post anything that includes with showing inappropriate skin.
Everyone online is not your friend.
Don’t share any personal information with people you just met on the Internet.
Stay away from others that encourage you to do bad stuff on the Internet.
- Remember your rights including with the First Amendment.
