Amani & Nair Electric Basketball

Posted by Amani Grant in Physics · Gray · A on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 8:44 am
My partner Amani and I have chose a basketball as our object to light up.  Playing
basketball has been something we’ve been younger. For Nair it was the age of 2 and for me it's the age of 5.We chose a basketball because we both play basketball on a daily basis. Basketball has been something that takes away stress and any emotion we feel like we can’t express through words. We both have a love for the game and we both think it's entertaining to do. What the sculpture says about us is how bright a basketball, can make our day brighten up without anybody else having to do so. My love for basketball is crazy like it's my go to when I'm down and I need something to cheer me up. There’s not enough words or love we have for the game of basketball.

One Point Perspective Drawing

In the picture there will be a big mirror with spotlights on them. It will be a clothes rack with her costumes to the side and like a nice wood floor with one or two chairs or couches. This picture represents a girl who has waited her whole life for this show and she is backstage getting ready for her performance. She has always wanted to dance and perform, but she has gone through many obstacles. In the beginning, she felt as though no one took her dream serious. They always said one thing, but did another thing. Then when the girl finally started dancing, she found out she had a injury in her foot and she had to stop for almost two stories. When the girl finally went back she had to start her dancing career all over, but this time the girl put her all in this. She practiced ten time more than in the beginning and when she danced you could tell all her true emotions came out. She just danced so gracefully and everything was on point. This was the room she got dress in before performing.

Internet Survival Guide

Posted by Amani Grant in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · e1 on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 8:50 am

Slide 2.)An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.

- It has changed communication because people don't even communicate physically, all they do is talk over social media. We rarely have conversations face to face.

Slide 3.)Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.

-Immediacy is the immediance of something happening especially when posting. It affects offline because you don't see the affect and online because others can save within a second.

Ex:When I post a picture someone likes it as soon as it was posted

-Permanence is once it's posted it never deletes and it affects both offline and online because when you think its deleted its really not because others have already saw it/save it.

Ex: I post a picture and delete it but somebody reposted/saved it before i deleted it
-Lack of control is when you have no control over what you have posted and it affects both offline and online because you can't do anything to the post once you have posted it.

Ex: I post a video but I have no control over who/what happens to it

Slide4.)What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)

-You can protect your identity online by making sure you have proof of your identity and your things are private online.

-You can protect your reputation by not putting anything on the internet that could potentially harm your reputation.

For example, don't use foul language or post things that are inappropriate or cause harm to others.

Slide 5.)Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example.

-No the internet doesn't have rules because people are allowed to do whatever on the internet. For example, if the internet had rules cyberbullying wouldn't happen or people wouldn't do the things they do.

Slide 6.)Define cyberbullying in your own words.
-Cyberbullying is harassment to others without physically hurting them just using words to harm them over social media.

Slide 7.)Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying
-trolling is considered cyberbullying because you're intentionally harming someone

-unintentional is considered cyberbullying because you're doing it without even knowing you're doing it

Slide 8.)Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying

-victims: make sure you tell someone who can help or you can trust.

Bullies: you should stop because what goes around comes around

Bystander: take a stand and help others

Slide 9.)Cyberbullying: You should stop because you can get traced down and have serious consequences

Learn-Create-Lead

Creativity while learning, helps me become smarter, better, and more educated, because I get to express the real me, and show off some of the ideas i have. Creativity while writing, expands your writing thoughts, and helps you to become a better writer, and think on a wider scale so that you won't have to repeat the same things over and over again. Creativity while drawing helps you to image a picture in your head like the full details and every little piece you I wanna teach in it and even what you were thinking just comes to life.Creativity while reading is just taking the things, and make them bigger. Just make your imagination bust out with ideas, and the things you think, just imagine if it what it would be like that if it were or how it would affect us. Creativity while dancing, allows your brain to come up with steps, and things you never done or helps the body do more than what it could handle, because you're just being creative.Creativity while cooking will allow you to cook things you never even thought of making, you just mix things together and then just put it together.

Cyber Bullying Stories: Ashley’s New Website, Unknown to Her

This story was about a girl who just started using social media. She posted pictures on social media and another student took those pictures and made a fake account about her personal information and more. It affected her life because she started losing friends although the damage could have been way worse. This was simply caused because another child had spare time on their hands and got caught up in social media.

Lack of control played a major role in this because Ashley had no control over what the other student did. She never knew she would end up in a situation like this. Permanence played a role in this situation because the account she made was permanent and also it was public. Immediacy caused everything to be posted in a rapid amount of time without her knowing anything.

My advice to Ashley is just remain calm in this situation because you are innocent. As a person who had this happen to me is don't try to convince people who are just making the situation worse that it's not you. The best thing to do is just get the cops involved because they can trace it back to whoever did this with an instint second. So just remain calm and stay away from the people who are trying to make it worse and let a teacher know if it gets that bad!
