La Poesía Española

Posted by Domenick Deangelis in SPANISH 2 - Moran - A on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 3:28 pm
Domenick DeAngelis La Poesía Española_Q3 Individual Project #1 (1)
This project was by far the best project ever! For this project we had to pick a poet, analyze their poems and life, then we had to make our own poem based off of theirs, in Spanish! I thought it was so cool learning about the poets life and everything he had to over come. It was, also, amazing to read about his poem and how it related to his life. I think I learned so much from this project because of all the Spanish reading I was doing of different poems! While, all the other parts were amazing I really liked writing my own poem in Spanish, even though it was hard to get my ideas across in Spanish, I think I got my point across. While it was annoying to try and write a poem in Spanish I think it just made me such a better Spanish writer and reader. If I had to take away one thing from this project it would be to always start early as it will show on your grade! One thing I would do different is read directions a little bit more clearly as I misread one assignment for this project, which caused me to get that part wrong. Overall, amazing project would love to do something like this again! (Click on document to see the full thing)

Spanish Benchmark Quarter 3

Quarter 3_Benchmark_Viajar Con Nosotros_Brochure
Quarter 3_Benchmark_Viajar Con Nosotros_PowerPoint
For this project had to make a whole travel layout that we could show to people for a vacation. This all had to be in Spanish and we had to travel to a Spanish speaking country. This project was a huge mix of fun and stress, making the video was pretty fun but the PowerPoint was a big headache. I found this project a very cool one, however, there was just so much information we had to fit into on presentation. If i had to change one thing after I did this project it would be how much information we put in the power-point. I feel like we just had so much Spanish text that it was hard for anyone to understand, we should have had bullet points. We could have expanded on the bullet points once we started the presentation. Besides that, I think this project was very cool and made me see how hard to can be to go traveling to a Spanish speaking country. This project, also, taught me a lot about airport phrases in Spanish. (Click on PowerPoint and travel brochure to expand the slides.)

For this project we had to make a video of acting like we are in the news, there would be different sections such a fashion, weather, health, and breaking news; there were also 2 anchors. We must include la ropa, el cuerpo, los verbos (presente y pretérito), los sentimientos, el clima, los pronombres, conversación básica, adjetivos, Ser y Estar, and preposiciónes. We had to make one video of a news station in Spanish with a spanish news station name. We had to be dress nice, have effects, good grammar, must flow, a video, and we had to have energy.
I think I did great on this project, I dressed nice, I had pictures, my grammar was all edited, it made sense, and I had lots of energy. I really like how we were able to be creative on this project and get to put our own spin on things, such has making a commercial, which was really cool. While I did get a bad grade on this project I had a lot of fun making the video and coming up with some funny and cool things as a group.

Domenick Y Alexis Spanish 2 Quarter 2 Conversantion Project
This was one of those projects I had mixed feelings about, I didn't really understand it until it was too late and I was not able to make the project as good as I could have. For this we had to use ser and estar in a basic conversation, however,  we also needed to define when we use ser and estar, make a video of us talking, and include pictures. I have learned to always look over the rubric many times  and if I still don't understand I need to tell someone. I did, however, love this project once I understood what to do and I think it was a very fun way of using basic conversation while also learning about ser and estar. Anther important thing I learned was to always use the documents that the teacher gives you.

Spanish Children's Book - Pictures of the Book

Posted by Domenick Deangelis in SPANISH 2 - Moran - A on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 12:30 pm
This project was one of my least favorite projects because it took a long time and was very challenging. I learned that I should not put things off till the last week and that I should try my hardest to make up for mistakes of the people I am working with. For this project we had to make a kids book in Spanish that was about a kid getting sick, we had to include clothing, is, weather, and prepositions.  While, I didn't like this project I learned to never put anything off again and make sure everyone pulls their weight in the group.

College Interview Video

Posted by Domenick Deangelis in SPANISH 2 - Moran - A on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:34 am
This project was a pretty cool project because it had English research and then a Spanish interview, which was a fun combination. I, also, got the chance to work with Mallika who was one of the best people to work with as she did a lot of work to make everything look good and she had a lot of ideas that I never thought of. This project was about doing a college interview, in Spanish, using real information like grades and schools. I thought this was really fun and might even help me with my real interview. While recording did take a super long time it was all worth it for the outcome and one of the best grades I got on a Spanish project.

Día de los Muertos - Domenick DeAngelis

Posted by Domenick Deangelis in SPANISH 2 - Moran - A on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:20 am
This project was all about Day of the Dead and showing love for a family member or friend. I did my project on my grandfather who was one of my biggest influences as a kid. Which is why this was my favorite project, I felt like this project just came to me and I really wanted to do it. For this project we had to make a sugar skull and mask that would represent a lost friend or family member, after that we had to write about them in Spanish and reflect on yourself in Spanish. I made my skull and mask smile because my grandfather was always laughing and happy. This was truly one of the best projects ever!

Google Vs. Yahoo Infographic Domenick DeAngelis

Posted by Domenick Deangelis in TECH 1 - Hertz - a1 on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 6:45 pm
I chose this topic because in our school we use Chrome Books, which are made by Google. So we use Google programs everyday! However, does anyone use Yahoo? If some do more people use Yahoo than Google? All these questions came to me, and lead me to think of the topic: Google vs. Yahoo. I hope everyone can learn some new things about Google and Yahoo and I hope this makes it easier to pick which is better...Google or Yahoo?

Cyber-bullying

This picture can say a lot, it shows a teen in the dark with his hands on his head. I think this can show how people can be lost been they are being cyber-bullied, and being lost feels like you are in the dark. The kid with his hands on his head can show the headaches and pain of being bullied. This image stood out to me because it really shows what cyber-bullying feels like. Lastly, I think that the statistic can, also, really show the pain of being cyber-bullied.
