One Point Perspective

Posted by Daniel Hagos in FreshmenArt on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:58 pm
The person that lives in this room is Dave. Dave is into sneakers and his idol is Michael Jordan. He buys and sells sneakers for a living and makes quite a profit from it.  He also likes gardening because he loves keeping his flowers alive and well and maintain them like the people that are important to him. Dave doesn't keep any pictures of his parents in his room because he never knew them. Dave was an orphan. Dave got adopted in 2012 but secretly doesn't fully accept that they're his parents. Dave is a busy person, he manages his time very wisely and he works with what he got to make his way to the top. He always starts his day at 5:30 AM and doesn't open his curtains because it's so dark. He keeps his personal and his work life simple. Dave exceeds in school winning awards and prizes at basketball in hope to be in big leagues after college.

Internet Survival Guide

Posted by Daniel Hagos in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · a1 on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 9:05 am

Required Project Elements:

  • An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.

The internet once was a platform where you can share information online and…. That's it, let your information go online and people can view it. The only form of communication is through Phone. When. ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983. In the internet you could show your finding and get good feedback. Since the internet was new people became more cautious with it and posted appropriate material and respectful comments.

  • Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet

Immediately is how fast something can get popular.

Permanence is the time it stays there. (Which can be forever).

Lack of Control is how you can't do anything about it because it has spreaded.

  • An explanation of how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example.

When you post a picture on social media it could be immediately, permanence, and lack of control all in one because you cannot get the picture back because it has been shared so much so fast and there is nothing you can do about it

  • What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)

  • Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example

The internet has rules but can be easily bypassed. Anyone can do whatever they want in the internet unless they get caught. And even when they dod get caught they know another way around. The internet rules are abandoned.

  • Define cyberbullying in your own words.

Cyber bullying is conflicting pain to a person mentally over the internet

  • Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying

Exposing people because they have their business blasted in the internet by someone else to get revenge

Teasing other people over the internet because that is basically bullying in general

  • Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying

Don't be mean because you don't have any idea what's going on in there lives

  • Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet

Be Careful who you talk to

Keep account on privet

Don't trust so much people

Post appropriate material

Brighten someone's day online

Learn - Create - Read

Creativity while learning... it is an amazing feeling because you can learn your own way and the way you like it. When learning while creating, I can do a project that represents me that I would be very proud of representing. Also, it gives me an easier way of learning because I can do it how I want it and it makes it different from others in a good way. But sometimes it is not the best aspect for me because in some situations, projects that I don't really have the interest in or lack creativity in will be very tough for me to do when I want to be creative. So if I don't be creative I will receive lower points than expected. Being creative while learning is a good benefit for me because I can discuss my ideas with peers and know their thoughts on the idea and I could learn from them and grow my creativity. Being on the topic with peers, if we have a project and I have people in my group we could have so much creativity in it and it would represent who we are. Or if it’s just me, it can show who I am. When being creative while learning I can be more open to my learning and understand it more than learning straight from a textbook. I can really let loose when lm being creative when learning. I chose this school because I know being creative while learning is the purpose of the school. I would like to be with people that think both different and the same as me to balance myself.

Carly Mckinny

Posted by Daniel Hagos in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · a1 on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 7:27 pm

http://www.westword.com/news/carly-mckinney-teacher-suspended-over-hot-twitter-posts-backed-by-freecrunkbear-5833516

A teacher named Carly Mckinney was a 23-year-old 10th-grade math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. Carly kept her work life apart from her social life. When still working in her job she posted half-naked pics, photos of her smoking pot and  inappropriate Tweets. Even though pot is legal for personal use in the state, the school is investigating whether McKinney brought pot on campus.Quickly after she posted the tweet the school faculty came to an agreement and fired her from her job. This could affect Carly’s life because other jobs will find her online and would not like someone like working for them. She had been joking about using drugs at school so other students and teachers or just an average person can give her hate for joking about drugs.

Permanence-Now that Carly posted her inappropriate pics online she an not delete them because the internet is full of people liking, sharing, and reposting others content so all of her half naked pics are being multiplied.

Lack of Control-Carly did not put her twitter on private so anyone could see her photos, even if that person never knew who she was. She can not do anything to get those photos back because it was her own fault for posting them.

Immediacy- Once she hit that send button it could show a notification that she had posted a picture on other people’s phone if enabled .Carly had more than 4 thousand followers so there could be at least one person who saved, shared, or reposted a new photo. If so there could be at least one person sharing her pictures online.
