Altiliano Tyler-Newbill Capstone Teacher: Mr. Lawrence, Mrs.Pearson For my capstone, I wanted to help the SLA community with my music ability and create a music studio for the students who have an interest in music and take their abilities to the next level. There has been a very long process for creating my capstone and really knowing what I have to do. Going through each step of this was really the hardest part, but at the end of the day I stuck with what I had and created something that is going to be worth waiting for. The process of my capstone wasn’t easy because there was a lot of independent responsibility, several steps to follow project criteria and also making sure that it turned out the way I wanted it to. I thought it would be great to have a music studio available for students interested in music and music production. This could help to support their dreams. The steps that I took to accomplish this was to fundraising for the items that I would have to buy. I did this by selling food to get the money to pay for the equipment in the music studio. I also needed to create and find the materials inside of the school to build the studio. Principal Johnson also helped me with getting some of the equipment too. Some hurdles I faced were securing the space in the school, designing the space and planning for use of the space after I graduate. Going through this whole process it was extremely hard. If I were to do this again, I would have spent more time planning and found ways to get more money to invest. These are ways to escape the hard times and make the project very successful.
