For my capstone, I decided to conduct interviews about hair discrimination and how it affects women in their daily lives. I found women of different hair types and asked them question pertaining to any discrimination they might feel when at work/school. I did this in hopes to get a conversation started about society and hair. The final product turned out well and I think it gets the message across. For my senior capstone, I created homemade remedies for hair, skin, and face. In my slideshow presentation, I introduced what types of products I used such as; shea butter, coconut oil, cinnamon, and mango butter. I talked specifically about the health benefits of using these natural products. Most people use products that contain strong chemicals in them like salicylic acid. People who use those types of products usually experience skin damage or breakouts. I used my own experience from when I used a product and it burned my face. For my college attendances, I attended Shippensburg, Temple , East Stroudsburg , Lincoln, and Kutztown. I feel that they all said great things about their school, but Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg really stood out to me. I think that it would be the school for me and so far they're my top 2 that I would really like to go to. As far as the other schools, they're nice, but they wouldn't be the school for me. I'm glad Ms. Lawson had the college attendances held in her office, so it gives us the opportunity to speak to representatives from those schools. ( I don't have any social media , so I made a blog post )
