Global Water Crisis

Posted by Soulsun Hammond in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm

The water crisis around the world is very crazy. It is amazing & not in a good way how with all this water in the world, only 3% of it is drinkable. Honestly, I feel like something needs to happen about it. I’m not sure how much we can do but we should try because there is a lot of water and only a little bit of it is drinkable.

Sabria Walker - Texas Water Crisis

Posted by Sabria Walker in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 8:08 am

Is the global water crisis an environmental justice issue? Why or why not?

The global water crisis and the efforts put forth in order to prevent and overall put a stop to it may be seen as environmental justice indeed. There are still steps that we must take in order to ascertain the very cause and assess how the most tedious of procedures may be taken to ensure safe (and clean) drinking water through clean passage systems. I came to this conclusion because of the evidence that has been more than prominent in communities and neighborhoods. Some of these more prominent areas include Pennsylvania, Alabama Texas, Indiana, etc.

Water Crisis: US Pipeline

Posted by Sakeric Lester in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:54 pm

The age of the US pipeline has a lot to do with the polluted water problems in the states. We chose to highlight Flint, Michigan knowing that they have no clean drinking water because their pipeline is contaminated by lead. We also highlighted more specific facts like how cast iron pipes and iron pipes are at their breaking point and are either breaking or cracking allowing the harmful substances to get into the water.

Kenya Water Crisis

Our infographic shows a water crisis that is happening in Kenya. It says that 15% of Kenya’s citizens are left with unimproved water sources. At first, 15% didn’t seem like that high of a percentage but that equals almost 8 million people.

It’s sad how it affects youngsters, particularly their growth. I’m also curious how it affects pregnant people.

Global Water Crisis

Posted by Justyce Shelton-Edwards in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 9:00 pm

The goal of this infographic was to expand our knowledge of water crises that are happening around the globe. It was interesting to find out that we only have access to 3% of earth’s water(out of 71%). We have the necessary resources to raise this percentage but this country refuses to do anything for the betterment of their people.

Sanai Browning - Global Water Crisis

Posted by Sanai Browning in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · D on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 8:21 pm

In some ways, the global water crisis and all of the work that has been done to stop it may be seen as environmental justice. There are still steps we need to take to figure out what caused the problem and figure out how the most time-consuming procedures can be used to make sure drinking water is safe and clean. I came to this conclusion because of the evidence that has been all over the places where I live and work. Pennsylvania, Alabama, Texas, Indiana, and so on are some of the more well-known places.

Global Water Crisis: Cambodia

The global water crisis is an environmental justice issue because it’s necessary to have clean drinkable water to live, as well as a human right.
