  The Cost of Higher Education

Posted by Mary Hertz in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 9:54 am
My infographic explains how expensive higher education is in the United States. I hope that people will see how hard it is for high schoolers to afford college and to see how our costs here in the United States compare with those of our neighbors, Canada and Mexico. I think it's important that people know how saddled young people are with debt when they graduate from college these days.

Solar System Infographic

Posted by Brandon Miranda in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 12:38 pm

I honestly chose this subject because I wanted to teach something that we sometimes forget and that's where we really live, in the solar system. I really couldn't figure out a lot for my subject but I dug very deep to find the information that you see in the infographic now. I do hope that when people see my infographic, they will see that we live not only in neighborhoods, streets, cities, states or continents, but in a whole planet with other neighbors that we should get to know. And yes, it should be important to learn about other planets.

Infographic: Do You Wanna To Build A Snowman?

Posted by Michael Tran in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 8:42 am

I choose this topic because I feel that a snowman symbolizes Frozen pretty well. I also choose this topic because I find this topic very interesting and I feel as though it would be fun to do. I want to teach people how to build a snowman which I am pretty sure no one knows how to do.

I wanted to choose this photo because it is a reminder that you should always change your password to avoid your accounts being hacked by other people. In class we learned that website companies are constantly being hacked and can sometimes or always hack into your account so it is important that you change your password at least once a month.

BE BOLD, AND MAKE A CHANGE !!! #Don't be a bystander

Posted by Vernika Barrow in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 1:13 pm

I choose to do my slide this way to let people recognize what the percents are theses days on the topic of bullying. What my slides shows is the percent of peers being near when a person is being bullied. This is important to me because this high percent shows how much people need to stop what there doing and make a change. When you see somebody, friend or stranger you shouldnt just stand there and watch them be bullied ,you should do something about it and stand up for them. You should be thier hero when they cant be for themselves because in the end your help will be very appreciated.

IP Addresses

Posted by Taylor Simmons in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:54 pm

TECH STUFF

I chose this image because it shows that there's an individual IP for every computer. The Ip Addresses are not the same as the last one which is probably why the numbers are so long. That would make sense because of all the electronics in the world. Every electronic has one be it smart phone, computer or tablet. it helps you get online and do other things on the internet

Cyber bullying can hurt too

Posted by Mya Bulgin in TECH 1 - Hertz - e1 on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 12:46 pm

My post shows how cyberbullying affects the people outside the screen. It like a shattered screen once its cracked you can put the pieces back together, but it will never be perfect. We should think about the person who is behind the screen and say to ourselves "how would the person feel and would I feel if someone said this to me"?. Cyberbullying can cause devastation to the bullier's life and that can cause depression and suicide. All of this can be avoided if we all just say "if it isn't kind to say DON'T SAY IT"

Words Can hurt you

The reason why I picked this picture is because people believe that words doesn't affect anybody. Cyber-bullies can't understand the fact that these simply words can cause some major problems. It can destroy a person's mindset and affects them emotionally. Such things can get overlooked as if it was nothing. BUt in all honesty, words really can hurt you.
