For my senior project which is also called a Capstone, my partner and I decided to throw a SLA  @ Beeber's first fashion show! As you can imagine it was both exciting and stressing being as though we are both 18 years old with outside of school responsibility we had to tend to but overall we got the job done. We did a "blast from the past" fashion show covering different ears such as 80's , 90's Afrocentric and Present day. Both the Afrocentric and Present day clothes were designed by SLA students.The first three months were strictly fundraising , we did bake sales , waterice sale , hot dog, chip and soda combo's . All to raise the money to fund the clothes the model would be wearing in the show and to fund  other things for this production , The next month around February we began our tryouts and starting practices for the show. We did photo shoots to create flyers to advertise the show and me being the present day designer, I began to work on my pieces that would be in the show.  We partnered with another student Jason Prez and got him to record the show so we could have not only pictures but a video of what we put together. We had to do research on what the clothes looked like at the time, we to create a estimated price range etc. This fashion show was far from easy, it took so much hard work but it all paid off in the end.

At the start of this project I kind of had an idea of how things were going to since i have done gardening things with my grandmother many of times. I was happy that we were doing a project I already had prior knowledge too. That way I could be of better help with my group. 

After doing all the research, helping create a script and then creating a video to help bring it to live, I feel like I have learned a lot and gained a lot of information My role in the group was to help find the information to create the script. This was a topic I took interest i because we touched base on this topic in class closer to the start of the school yer and I was interested in where else the topic would go so I talked to my group members about furthering our research so that we could learn more about the topic. I think many people can learn from watching our video, we aimed to make our video entertaining and educational. We wanted our video to inform while also keeping the people engaged in the video. My creativity added on to the group a lot, I helped come up with a lot of our ideas we added to the video. Something that could have been worked on was our communication. I feel like we didn't talk to each other enough through this process of creating this project. The most meaningful thing that came from creating this PSA was that we got the information out there and now people are informed and that's all as a group we wanted.

Through out this process of this project I learned how to work a new app called Snagg it which allowed me to take a video of my screen as I explained everything that was going on. This is a app I will be able to use in the future when I have future presentations.I would recommend people use this app when trying to explain because it allows you actually show excatly what you are talking about 

This is my Tech project. I had to create a logo. This logo is for my future store and business I plan to own once I graduate High school. I was allowed to use both my tech skills and creativty to get the project done.

This project was to create a childrens spainsh book that talks about a sick day at school. We had to create a story front and back and have pictures to explain. 

This project we had to choose a Spainsh speaking country , create a travel agency  and then create a planed trip including activties , places to eat and transportation ( flight information) things like that , then present this infront of the class.

This project was to celebrate the day of the dead , we had to create mask sulls and eulogy about the people we care most about that has past. This project gave us the chance to express our feelings for our loved ones that has past.

This is a project is where I had to break down and explain what the difference was between ser and estar,  Using pictures and senteces to help the reader understand what the diffference was and how they are suppose to be used. 

This project is about finding a poem by a famous spanish poet and then translating it into english or spainsh. Then you write about what you thought the poem meant in spanish. 

This project is about our family and friends. We had conversations with our family and friends and they read a script we wrote.

We choose to use a blanket for our project , because we felt the blanket symbolized our strong friendship. Blankets are there when you are cold , on rainy days & when your sleepy you count on your blanket to help ease your stress to get your good night of sleep . Well that's what Christiana & I are to each other the person to tell each other everything will be okay so we xan sleep easy at night , the person that's there when it's cold , meaning when things get rough , or troubling your favorite blanket wouldn't leave you but warm you up , that's the same as a good friendship , the friendship we worked on & built over the past few months that's why we choose a blanket .
