Electric Art Project

Posted by Kamaiyah Jackson in Physics · Gray · E on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 8:38 am

For my project i decided to light up a binder. I chose to do a binder because for the past year I have been focussed a lot on school and starting off high school with a high GPA. Seeing as though for this project we were supposed to chose something that was significant to us I thought a binder would be perfect. Throughout my freshman year at SLA I realized that there are more important things than school and while school should always be a concern it should never be your main concern in life because there are more important things. Ive experienced so much this year and I've learned  to put school on the back burner sometimes but in the end i will always come back to my books.

One Perspective Room

Posted by Kamaiyah Jackson in Introduction to Art · Hertz · a1 on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 8:39 am
I drew what could be an art room. Im not sure what i meant this room to be but it has a window seat and a table in it. There's a carpet and two large windows. The back wall is decorated in vines and pictures and there is a sign on the door that says "Alice's Wonderland". While drawing my room I learned that almost all line in tour drawing should go back to the vanishing point. It helps keep your room together and it helps it look realistic. The thing I'm most proud of in my room is the carpet. I think its the most detailed thing in the room. Although I like it the best if i had to change something about the project it would be that. I don't think it fits in the room well. For anyone else doing this project, i think that you should practice doing things in one point perspective. You're going to erase a lot and be really confused if you don't practice at least a little first.

Cellphone Use Project

Posted by Kamaiyah Jackson in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a2 on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 2:33 pm

We were instructed to do a project on the cell phone use of or 9th grade class. After my research for this project I feel as though my peers are addicted to their cell phones. We probably should ease up on our use of them. Here’s what we can do about our addiction, move your phone away from you while you sleep, turn off when during conversations, and no phone zone.To collect our data each 9th grader with a phone recorded how many times they checked their phone for two days. We then put it in a chart with a that the whole 9th grade could see.
