I am presenting the cell phone use of myself and the phone use of the people in my grade and comparing the outcomes and relating to multitasking and cell phone addiction.

I found out that I use my phone less than my peers.I discovered out that most of the whole grade is mildly addicted to their phones and I now believe that we should try use our phones less because cellphones are slowly ruining our lives.
  • Set up phone-free periods every day

  • Turn off notification button

  • Do something more productive, like going outside or reading a book

Multitasking and Cell Phone Addiction

The goal of this project is to be more conscious of your own phone use as it relates to research around learning, brain function, and addiction. In conclusion, I think that we are more addicted to our technology than we think we are. Many of my peers thought that Apple’s average of 80 was high, but some exceeded over double that amount. Some ways to limit your cell phone use are to create no-phone time zones, turn it off when you get into the car, and stop using it before you go to sleep.

The 9th graders used an app to check their usage and then filled out a form, their data is

Cell Phone Use Data

Posted by Samantha Sturkey in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a2 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:39 pm

My project was on cell phone use data of myself and my classmates to see how many times we check our phones during two days.My conclusion was that before we did this project I would have said I check my phone more then my peers but after the project I found that I check my phone less then my peer. My tip that I have is putting a time limit on how you use your phone can help you not go on it as much. The way we got every ones data was through one big google spreadsheet that we all shared we did a survey for the whole ninth grade and we had it sent to our email. The 9th grade class has collected data from their own phones of how many times they check their phones.

People are using their phone to much and it can start an addiction.

In conclusion I have found that a little less than half the grade might or already have an addiction to their phone. I have also found that most people use social media.

Tips:
You can set timers for how much you can use your phone.

Tips I would give to my classmates/ peers are,I know for iPhones you have a opinion to turn off your notifications and I know it’s helpful to because this quarter is closing so you really don’t need the distraction getting in the way for your final grade what you can do is,

  1. Go to settings

  2. Scroll down until you see notifications

  3. Turn off the main ones that distraction

  4. Always remember once you're finished you can always turn back on… But take a break once in awhile

Cell Phone Use & Multitasking Project

Posted by Ariana Paiman in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a2 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:23 pm

This project will be about the phone use of all the streams in 9th grade & what they did in that time period. We will be talking about how much time kids wasted on their phones. Also The least amount of times kids checked their phones. & Lastly What they checked their phones for.

In conclusion I would like to say that North stream had the most totals in all. We checked our phones the most (1000) & I believe that North stream is multitasking all the time on how they check their phones so much in over a period of 2 days. Also I would like to say that the lowest number of times someone checked their phone was about 3 times & that was from South stream. That is how our grades & our own data shows us about multitasking & our cell phone use addiction.

Some tips that will help you by using your phone less is by finding other ways of relaxing like doing homework or going out to a park so you don't need to use your phone so often as you did before. We collected our data by using app called Moment or Checky. We saw if any of our data's made sense or look the same in any way in our classes or in any other streams. Here is our Data

Cell Phone and Multitasking Project Use

Posted by Kiersten Scudder in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a2 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:23 pm

This is about My cell phone use and Grade - wide use of cell phone use and multitasking. I use data to how many time I check my phone and how many times does the grade check their phones, but what are their doing when they are checking their phones. I discovered that cell phone addiction and multitasking can be good for certain amount of time been can be bad habit you have and you must take a break a let yourself breathe. Also that grade wide use and my phone use is use multitasking and doing other things that can and cannot be useful.  I can limit my cell phone by telling myself to find something else to keep occupied instead of being on phone. Another thing I do is put it somewhere my mind will not be tempted to touch it or be on it.
