I chose the reproductive system. How I wanted to show the evolution and the change was their eggs and where they lay them. Worms lay there eggs in the dirt. Frogs lay their eggs in water because its like a jelly casing so if they were to be laid on land they would dry out and the water keeps them moisturized. But alligators are totally opposite. They can not lay their eggs in water because the eggs would drown so they lay their eggs on land and the baby alligators have to find their way back to the water. But overall I learned a lot through the process of this benchmark and would't change anything about it!

The person that is in the room is me. For the scene I am going to tell about my thoughts and frustrations towards my life. My backstory is past memories and experiences in my household. The items that I am going to use is my desk, my dresser, mirror, my bed, headphones, and also my phone. My desk represents how I work on myself. My dresser represents how the clothes in my dress is how am i am folded. Sometimes I am folded and to myself and basically a loner. My mirror is the reflection of me and i talk to myself in the mirror. Headphones is me blocking out the negativity. And my phone is my happy place.

Internet Survival Guide

Posted by Nyla Harrell in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · e2 on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 9:58 am

1.Define cyberbullying in your own words.

Cyberbullying is when your making fun of a person or offending them online. That can lead to harassment and something serious.

2. Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying .

Just block them and don't worry about what people have to say about you . if you're being bullied go to an adult that you can trust to solve the situation .  If you're a bystander go to an adult to help the situation.

  3. Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet

Use it wisely

Be responsible

Dont reply to people who start problems

Stay off social media full of drama .

Don't use to start problems

4 . Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying

Bullying off of social media or through text offending the victim .

5 . What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online?

By keeping your business to yourself and not trusting everyone with your business and don't post stuff you wouldn’t want everyone to see . post responsibly .

6.Do the Internet have rules?

To me the internet has rules to a certain extent. The computer provided in the school has a restriction to lots of websites and these restrictions can be put on any computer for the Internet.  The internet is very very large and doesn’t have a filter but you can put restrictions to verify your age on the internet(18 or older). But sometimes you can get around it and lie about your age.

7.Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.

Immediacy is when you are posting something on the internet

Permanence is as soon as you post something on the internet even though you believe you deleted it, it still will be there. For example other people can look it up.

Lack of Control is when you post something about someone else and has no control about it. They have no say so in what you post or if it's about you.

8.An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.

The internet has changed the communication because everything is basically over the internet. Working at your job, typing essays and so forth at school is all over the internet. Social media is over the internet, snapchat and etc. Years ago they used express mail using horses and people to deliver mail and to communicate to other people. But now everything can be through the computer or the phone.

West Stream

Due: November 4,2016

This whole quarter we learn about how to only use the Internet positively because if you post something that you will regret it may affect your life drastically. So think before you post anything. Here is a prime example. This girl named Audrie who is 15 years old suffered cyberbullying with the teenagers she knew. It all happened the month of September in 2012. Audrie was drinking underage and was drinking so much she fell unconscious. Her friends she was with ended up raping her and taking pictures of her. The the teenagers all went to the same school which was Saratoga High School. After taking all the pictures of the girl getting raped and unconscious they ended up posting it on the Internet. Eight days after the situation Audrie went through hell because she had mental and physical fear. She ended up killing herself to escape the damage and harm being continued on her mentally and physically. Audrie never told her parents. And now the teenagers are charged for Audrie’s death but it won’t bring her back but justice needs to be serve. In this situation the permanency is that she is dead and someone can probably look up the pictures the teenagers took of Audrie. The lack of control is that first Audrie was drinking so much that she fell unconscious and she was underage drinking and when the teenagers rapid her and took pictures they knew it was wrong but they thought it was a joke until she ended up killing herself. The immediacy is that once she was raped the three boys instantly posted the pictures online where everyone can see it. But when they went to court the judge used the pictures as evidence against them. The three boys never have been in serious serious trouble where they are dealing with the law but they ended up in the juvenile hall. After Audrie hung herself she was admitted to the hospital on life support but didn't end up surviving. Now the three boys that did all this has to deal with this the rest of their lives and have to sleep everyday with this extreme situation on their mind. And Audrie family has to deal with this everyday that a family member has died and they could not help her with this situation.
