This item represents my love for sports. I chose this disc because it actually had the blood and sweat of me and my friends on it. It shows my determination and my passion for sports. This item will always be a reminder to me to always give anything I do 100% effort. That’s why I made this sculpture.

Internet Survival Guide

Posted by Qualee Bentley in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · e2 on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 9:56 am
  1. Title Slide

  2. The internet has changed communication because we can talk to people around the world now in no time. An example of this is skype.

  3. Immediacy is when there are pictures being posted constantly over and over and it affects our offline and online identities because it’s constantly something to see on the internet and it makes people feel as if they have to see what the current thing on the internet is. Permanence is when u post something on the internet and it stays there forever and it affects our offline and online identities because if we try to apply for a job and the employer looks us up he can find something that you posted and he might think that you're not qualified for the job. Lack of Control is when u post something and someone takes that picture and does stuff with it and that affects our online and offline identities because someone can make a fake account with our pictures and gives us a bad name.

  4. One way you can protect your identity is by not posting your personal information and one way you can protect your reputation is by posting stuff that is appropriate and does not give you a bad name.
  5. The internet has rules but people just bypass those rules most of the time. An example is when people make a google account and they make up a fake birthday because you need to be 18 and over.

  6. Cyber bullying is when you harass a person online.

  7. Two kinds of cyber bullying are trolling and outing. Trolling is when u annoy a person for no reason at all and outing is when u post someone's personal information online.

  8. The advice I would give victims is, it´s not your fault that you are being bullied just ignore those people and don't worry about them because they're just taking their anger out on you. My advice for bullies is treat people the way you would want to be treated and respect everyone because you wouldn't want to be bullied.

  9. My top 5 tips are:1. Be aware of everyone you meet on the internet. 2. Don´t go on websites that are harmful and might have viruses. 3. Never post your personal information online. 4. Never meet someone in person that you just meet online. 5. Don't open emails that look sketchy.

DiGiorno uses Domestic Violence to Sell Pizza

Posted by Qualee Bentley in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · e2 on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2:21 pm

DiGiorno Pizza went to Twitter to promote their pizza using the hashtag #WhyIStayed. What they didn’t know was that the hashtag was used for thousands of women opening up about their abusive relationships. DiGiorno quickly realized that they made a mistake and took it down but it was too late, this shows lack of control and permanence. They began to explain how they didn’t check and see what the hashtag represented and started to apologize to everyone that saw it. This shows how immediacy played into their situation.

My advice for DiGiorno Pizza is to check before you post. You should always make sure that your post doesn’t contain offensive material. Also, make sure to check what the hashtag represents before you use it.http://time.com/3308861/digiorno-social-media-pizza/
