Reproductive Health Care - Tsion Tuhco

My group members and I made an informative PSA on reproductive health care and what it means and also programs like Planned Parenthood that support, educate, and provide services for individuals about reproductive health, ranging from sex education to abortion. We specifically looked into programs like Planned Parenthood and their purpose. Because of our recent presidential nominee, the Republican party wants to stop the federal funding to Planned Parenthood because they offer abortion services. Stopping Planned Parenthood puts millions of people who depend on it at risk and our goal is to educate that to others. In order to achieve this goal, we interviewed a nurse, a counselor, and a principal at a high school. My job was to interview, research the political aspect of Planned Parenthood, and help to edit the video. Overall, my group members and I achieved our goal and everyone did their part on this project.

“Travel With Me”, is an Ethiopian documentary that I and other film editors created to teach people about the tradition, culture, and history of Ethiopia. Creating this documentary helped me feel much closer to my identity as an Ethiopian and I hope this video inspire others to look at their own culture and background. I created this documentary in a way where people are going on an adventure and seeing, beautiful views that Ethiopia is known for like Axum,  its mountains and much more. In this video, you're expected to see, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is a capital city, and Tigrai.
In order to create this project, I went on a two-month vacation to Ethiopia where I traveled to Addis Ababa and Tigrai and I visited historical monuments and buildings and interviewed people who are familiar with the history in order to educate myself and my viewers.  Creating this project was very rough, when I was in Ethiopia, my camera was stolen on the last day that I was getting back to America. My camera contained a lot of important videos that I wanted to put in my documentary. But thanks to my outside mentor who works in film editing in Ethiopia helped me to capture those missing footage. I had some hard times in creating this video, but it was an amazing adventure. I hope you enjoy my documentary as much as I had creating it.

In creating the Spiral of Theodorus, it involved using a protractor for the angles and the sizes. In order to create this art piece, you have to measure the base, of the length you want your base to be and using the protractor to make sure all your triangles have a 90-degree angle. First, you have to start your mid point and after that, you draw a triangle with all sides that are equal. 

How to use Wevideo By:Tsion Tucho

This video is the first step to getting to know wevideo and learn how to use it. The video that I have made is very simple and it is for first time user. I use Wevideo when I want to make an informative video especially for projects. It is very simple and if I forget some tips I can click on help and automatically there would be a person explaining the process which some websites don't do. The only bad thing about Wevideo is you have to pay if you want your video to be more than 7 minutes and 30 seconds, you have to upgrade. Also, you only get that amount of minutes once a month. What I did to accomplish this video screenshot every step that would take. The process was very simple because I got to know more about Wevideo in the past years so, every step that I made is what I am an expert in.  Wevideo is easy to use for anyone who wants to make a simple, easy, and cheap video.


3D Print Logo- Tsion Tucho

My project is a 3D printing of my restaurant logo that I had entered in a competition. By using  http://tinkercad.com  I was able to creat this design. Before I started this project I had no knowledge of 3D printing but I watched a lot of tutorials so I can have a clear understanding of how to create a 3D model. I have accomplished a lot of learning after creating this design like being able to use shapes and connecting it together and many more and by this new education I can be able to incorporate this with other projects. The hardest part of this project was printing it out because it was taking so long to be able to 3D print it but it was very easy to follow and the tutorials helped a lot. I had a lot of fun on this project but the funnest time was when we printed the logo and we started painting it and making it beautiful. If I can be able to do this again I would change nothing about it because I learned a lot and I had an amazing time.

Tech Project

The purpose behind the project:
I created this project because I wanted to learn how to create an art using the technology. I was successful in creating my art but I found it very easy to do it using my computer because I was able to create a slide show and showcase it with music and titles, and edit it the way I want my viewers to see. I had hoped to learn how to use technology not only creating arts but also other things that can be easier for me to make and also the viewers that want to see clips, can find them in one place and not separate. I felt this project was a success but also informative for me because I learned technology is much easier for showcasing arts. I learned how to put all the arts together and edit and make it the way I want to showcase it.

I designed a Christmas house that lights up because my favorite holiday is Christmas. Christmas plays a big part in my culture and tradition. It reminds me of home and everyone coming together and laughing, eating, playing, and dancing and everyone having a good time. I chose to make this project because it's unique and different and no one has done it in our class which makes it one of a kind.
