Stop Motion-Dj

In our project we used noodle sticks and a little of artistic view from our own point of views to make this possible. In this project I made sure we all were on track and I made up for the days I missed because of testing I also added my artistic brow and help my team out with how we wanted to make things look and I then drew some pictures for us to present in our presentation. The most meaningful thing about doing this project is to truly show how these process go and transform into daughter cells and to see actually step by step what happens. https://youtu.be/iUgcKA0zEgk

Stop Motion-Jone’

In this video I will be showing the phases of Mitosis and Meiosis. In Mitosis I will be showing the phases; Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, and Cytokinesis. In Meiosis 1 I will be showing the phases; Interphase 1, Prophase 1, Metaphase 1, Anaphase 1, Telophase 1 and Cytokinesis 1. In Meiosis 2 I will be showing the phases; Interphase 2, Prophase 2, Metaphase 2, Anaphase 2, Telophase 2 and Cytokinesis 2. I did this project myself and I tried my best with what I had. What I did well was putting the play-doh and Drawings together to explain the processes. What I could have done different was add the cell cycle at the beginning. The most meaningful part of creating this stop motion was putting the phases together.

Cell Division

In our video, we used clay and pipe cleaners to demonstrate the stages of meiosis and mitosis while explaining each phase of the processes and show the differences between the two processes. For this project I brought in half of the materials and made some of the phases for the pictures. I also edited the video along with doing the voiceover for the video. In this project, something I did well was demonstrating the phases and taking the pictures but next time, I want to improve my editing skills. The most meaningful part of making this video in my opinion was getting to see it when it was done because I got to see my partner and I's hard work come together.

https://youtu.be/DBE7P_PAsF4 1. We had to do a cell cycle and put that in the video and then do a stop motion for Mitosis and Meosis and we used playdoe for this project besides the cell cycle I just had drew that on a piece of paper with a few markers. You also need the cell phone to take the pictures and edit the video. 2. I contributed to every single part except the editing of the video and publishing it my partner had did that but everything else I did and i’m not saying I did it by myself but I did do it. The only thing I did for the video is put it in order (the pictures). 3. I think what I did well was get it done in shorts amount of time and understand it in shorts amount of time and what I think I could do better is make sure I have more time because me and my partner were bullsh*ting most of the time. 4. The most meaningful part to making this whole thing is time management for real and that is really what meant everything because we had to use our time wisely if we wanted to get it done and get a grade for turning it in on time.

My group and I explained the process of meiosis and mitosis. For that, we used pipe cleaners to show the shape of the cell and the chromosomes. I contributed by doing a voice-over and helped with editing. I could've contributed more with writing out the processes on paper better. I actually went to the store to buy the materials so I was responsible. The most meaningful part was working together with my peers like a family.

In my groups video, We showed the cell cycle of mitosis and meiosis. We used pipe cleaners and Popsicle sticks 2. I explained the process of meiosis and did the stop-motion for it 3. I explained the process well. I should've gave a longer explanation 4. Recording and working with my partners

Q2 Benchmark Reflection

For this project, my group and I created a stop motion video showing the process of the cell cycle within mitosis and meiosis, We started off by using paper for mitosis but then using the whiteboard to show the process of meiosis. I contributed to the project by doing some of the voice-overs and helping by figuring out what information goes where in the video. The role that I played during the project is the “researcher” meaning finding the information as to what the stages in the process do and where they go. In this project, I think the one thing I did well was collaboration meaning I made sure to talk with my partners and see what their ideas were for the project. The one thing that I could have done differently was maybe helped more with the drawings (even though I can’t draw). The most meaningful part was seeing the final product of the video and how using the app time-lapse made it easy and fun to do.

Q2 Benchmark Reflection

In my group’s video, we include descriptions of the Cell Cycle along with an introduction. In the stop motion part of the video, we showed the different phases of both Mitosis and Meiosis. Overall, my group and I worked well together. I put together part 1 of Meiosis and had help with part 2. As a group, we put together the video completely. What I did well was contributing and collaborating with my group. I do feel that I could’ve done better with voicing my opinion and would’ve changed the way the video looks and use better editing software. However, the most meaningful part of making this project was making all the different phases and bringing the Cell Cycle to life. I enjoyed this part because it helped me learn more because I was able to visualize what happens clearer.

Mitosis Vs. Meiosis

Posted by Wubishet Taye in Biochemistry 2 · Sasso-Chryst · C on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 8:32 pm

The contents of our video consisted of the process of the cell cycle, mitosis, and meiosis. We used play-doh as well as papers to make our stop motion video. I contributed well to the group by communicating with my group members. I was in charge of making meiosis and editing the video. My group and I worked really well together and made sure to check on our work with our teacher so that she can give us feedback on our work. Our mitosis stop motion video was something that we really did well on but the voice-overs for mitosis should have gone with the process of mitosis. The lighting for meiosis is somewhat bad but it included all the steps. The meaningful part of the experience of creating the stop motion video would be learning more about mitosis and meiosis as well as the cell cycle.

Q2 Biochem Benchmark Reflection

In this benchmark, we covered the Cell Cycle, as well as the stages of Mitosis and Meiosis. For the creation process of this video, we used the following materials, play-dough, iPhone, Life Lapse App, and iMovie. Throughout the project, I contributed by using my notes and knowledge about the cell cycle and the different stages to accurately plan and create physical models about the different processes. In addition, I also helped shape and create different components of the cell cycle, Mitosis, and Meiosis using play-dough. Overall my group thoroughly and accurately showed the process and components of the Cell Cycle, Mitosis, and Meiosis in a creative and intellectual manner. Which allowed us to be successful and reach the end goal of our overall plan. I believe we could've improved our explanation of each step throughout our voice over, even though we summarized it pretty well and highlighted the important parts. The most meaningful part of the project was the ability to collaborate with my peers in a way that helped further my understanding of the concept.
